Featuring awe-inspiring views of the city, 5th View Bar & Food sits upon the 5th floor of Waterstones in Piccadilly. Europe's largest bookshop is housed within a stunning, period-style Art Deco building.
Serving classic European dishes, with all meat sourced from a local London butcher, the 5th View menu includes burgers such as the 5th View double cheese, along with Texan barbeque chicken, with a smokey glaze. Sizzling steaks topped with homemade lemon and parsley butter are also served, and for lighter bites, try the mini duck spring rolls with sweet chilli sauce.
Sip on a cocktail whilst looking out over Haymarket, or dine in the brasserie-style Waterstones restaurant featuring artwork of London’s most popular landmarks. 5th View Bar & Food's cocktail menu ranges from the sweet and sour French 75, with gin, lemon juice and champagne, to mint julep with buffalo trace bourbon.
5th View in London is just a 3-minute walk from Piccadilly Tube Station.

We had a very pleasant dinner at 5th view on Friday 23 February 2018. Delicious burgers and a good chenin blanc to wash down.
Service pretty efficient and welcoming.
Only drawback - 10pm closure means you are being slightly hustled from about 9.45....

The view was amazing. Got a voucher for afternoon tea for two. Great value for money.

I brought my 18 year old grand daughter for a quick lunch in the middle of a 'present shopping' trip. I have used the restaurant before but she was delighted, with somewhere "so different". The service was swift and smooth. We both had a drink and then burghers, which were both excellent. Overall, perfect for what I wanted.
Grand daughter said she would bring friends to the bar!

Great food and friendly service,

Great place, food is good - service is a bit casual in that you have to ask waiters if they’ll take your order, push tables together as booked for 4, clean crumbs off your table from last diners etc. But I actually don’t mind this unfussy attitude- it’s kind of friendly and homey

I often go to 5th View for all sorts of reason (central location, bright space, good value for money), but have seen changes in the preparation of dishes which are concerning. As an example, yesterday I ordered the smoked haddock fish cakes, which I have had a number of times in the past. The fish cakes were not only substantially smaller, but there used to be an egg served with them—no egg this time. I understand that restaurants may want to change their menus from time to time, but reducing quality/quantity while maintaining or increasing price should not be an option, especially if part of the restaurant’s clientele come on a regular basis. Disappointing and so would be less inclined to recommend restaurant to friends.

Dined at midday with a friend. Got seated next to the window which I had requested on booking. View wasn't great. Could see the top of the Eye but not much else but nice to have some kind of view.food menu was super. I had the 5th View burger and it was honestly the best juicy burger I have had in a long time. Service was good and plAce was clean. Perfect venue for what I wanted.

Very disappointing bread was hard like it had been sitting out all afternoon and they did not give you a choice of sandwich. Cakes were also hard and it was advertised that you got roast beef in a Yorkshire pudding and what it actually was was salami with horseradish. Stones were stodgy and when we asked for another pot of tea the ditsy server completely forgot to bring it as he seemed to be too busy just standing around will an afternoon tea I would have thought the tea would have been unlimited, so overall would not go back again and would definitely not recommend to anyone I know.
