Featuring awe-inspiring views of the city, 5th View Bar & Food sits upon the 5th floor of Waterstones in Piccadilly. Europe's largest bookshop is housed within a stunning, period-style Art Deco building.

Serving classic European dishes, with all meat sourced from a local London butcher, the 5th View menu includes burgers such as the 5th View double cheese, along with Texan barbeque chicken, with a smokey glaze. Sizzling steaks topped with homemade lemon and parsley butter are also served, and for lighter bites, try the mini duck spring rolls with sweet chilli sauce.

Sip on a cocktail whilst looking out over Haymarket, or dine in the brasserie-style Waterstones restaurant featuring artwork of London’s most popular landmarks. 5th View Bar & Food's cocktail menu ranges from the sweet and sour French 75, with gin, lemon juice and champagne, to mint julep with buffalo trace bourbon.

5th View in London is just a 3-minute walk from Piccadilly Tube Station.

Restaurant seemed grubby and shoddy. The food was tasty but portion size small. Would not bring husband or sons here they would leave hungry!

    Service good
Menu: did not like the menu which is not an improvement on the previous menu which presented many more English classsics compared to the current menu which is biased towards American dishes.

Food and drinks really good, service needs to be looked at though, being chased out of the bar because they had messed up with the bill and I had not "paid enough", is not my idea of fun and to tell my friend the cost of the meal when it was meant to be a surprise (they had been told) was a bit of a joke...

My wife wanted to have afternoon tea in London. We looked up different sites and found bookatable. The reservation process was fast and we had no problems to find what we were looking for. The 5th View Bar & Food is located on top of the huge Waterstone book shop at Piccadilly. So after looking for books (and also buying some) we went to the 5th View. Our table was reserved and the view over London was nice. The choice of tea and food offered as a total package was of good quality. 5th View might lack life piano music or the grandezza of famous afternoon tea places like the Dorchester or Ritz but at a price of 30 pounds for two persons the value for money is good. We stayed there for about 50 minutes and it was no lost time. Would we go there again? Probably yes, thanks to the book shop below.

Great location on 5th floor overlooking Piccadilly one side St james Park and Westminster the other.
Food and service impeccable. Price reasonable for the location.
Terrific place to lunch after a morning's book browsing/buying

Always A great place for lunch with friends after a visit to Royal Academy exhibition. Booking table a good idea - window seat with view over the city and excellent 'catch of the day' with good choice of crisp dry wines by the glass. First time for my friend who was impressed by the ambiance and the service.
