A popular Clapham favourite, 22 North Street is an inviting neighbourhood restaurant serving inventive seasonal British dishes. Rustic brick walls and gothic-style chairs feature inside, while a private dining room is accessed through a hidden door behind a bookcase.

The 22 North Street menu changes with the seasons, and also includes time-honoured staples like gourmet Sunday lunches with all the trimmings. Juicy chargrilled lamb chops are served with purple sprouting broccoli and caramelised shallots, with Mediterranean twists found in dishes like pappardelle with gorgonzola cream and spinach. Add in a choice of gourmet sides too, with choices including triple-cooked chips, and squid, coconut and chilli rice.

Banoffee pie is made to order at 22 North Street in Clapham, with other crowd-pleasing favourites given signature makeovers too. A selection of UK craft beers are served alongside signature cocktails, and there are regular wine tasting events as well.

Also serving popular weekend brunches, 22 North Street is a popular London neighbourhood restaurant, sitting 8 minutes' walk from Clapham Common Rail Station.

i was very pleased to see a menu that was full of interesting choices, and the vegetatrian dishes were better than last time we came. The staff are very friendly. Much better experience than last time we came in the new year.

Good food and friendly atmosphere, but prices have gone up in the last few months.

Great decor, interesting and very well cooked food and friendly and knowledgeable staff. This is a small local restaurant with a well deserved reputation. We have been going for a couple of years and it never disappoints. Everyone we take is impressed and wish they lived near enough to visit regularly.

I like this restaurant , love the ambience, great desserts, but on this occasion one of us had the vegetarian option, which was not good. Dry and not well seasoned and definitely did not have any ingredients that merited the price of the dish. However we had a 50% discount which made it better value for money.

The service was great, esp on wine. Starters and puddings were good in terms of choice and flavour. The main courses were really bland and bar the duck , were really flavourless / terrible for the average £20 per dish - the vegan option in particular ( sweet potatoes and chick peas) lacked any spice and was dry as you like. Linguine with cod and crab tastes like a bland carbonate .
    Puddings around £8 were good.
    Starter similar , good

Lovely smallish restaurant with nice atmosphere. Friendly service, great food nicely presented.

Food was nice but the portion was somewhat small, particularly the guinea fowl.

The atmosphere was quite good. The server was a little inattentive but I think they may have been short staffed?

Overall it was a pleasant experience and I will go back.

Top Sunday lunch here - gorgeous rare roast beef and all the trimmings. Great wine list and we shared a couple of delicious puddings. Very friendly service.

We're so lucky to have 22 North Street so close to our home. It's the best restaurant south of the river - not in a fancy, over-the-top way, but comfortable, cosy, friendly and with superb food. No matter what we've tried on the menu (we go often!), the flavours are interesting, just complex enough and simply delicious. The wine list is well-selected with something for everyone. This place is great for date night or a fun dinner with friends. Enthusiastically recommend!!
