A nice meal, the food was almost 4* but the pate was v watery probably from being frozen. The pea soup was amazing. The service was good but being asked 3 times if our food was ok by 3 different people on the same course was annoying. Nice setting, when we went it was v quiet but I can imagine the ambience would be lovely during busier times.

Staff were friendly but a couple of mistakes (fizzy water poured into all glasses even when half of us were on still and just stopped waitress pouring white wine into the red!)

a great dining experience. Because we ate early (5.30pm) there were only 3 tables occupied but the restaurant did not feel empty due to the lovely surroundings and intimate atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and the meal itself was delicious.

Great service with a wonderful dining experience. The food was excellent and couldn't have been better! If I was to be a bit negative, it would be how small the portions were. We left still feeling very hungry but the value for the meal and the experience was very good it was more than worth it

The Pink Floyd tea was great, sandwiches, scones and a range of patisserie, some of which was themed to Pink Floyd album cover designs. Service on the day was prompt and courteous. I tried to book with the hotel by email (as advertised as an option) but got no response. Do I looked on the internet for another option (Bookatable worked well) ; then I received a voicemail from the hotel asking me for advance payment, which I had no problem agreeing to. I called and was passed back and forth between reception and the restaurant (at one point being passed back to the restaurant I got the response 'oh it's you'). I explained I was just trying to pay as I'd been requested, then I was told I'd have to go in person. I queried this as I just wanted to give my credit card details rather than go all the way there in person in advance. Eventually they said they'd call me back which they did and agreed to take my card details. Usually bookings are simpler than this one. As it was for my partner's birthday I persisted , but otherwise I'd have given up. I am glad the tea was good in the end and worth the difficulties.

The building and bar are good, however it's under construction outside! The cocktails were terrible, food ok but too pricey. Service very good
