Our dining experience was extremely disappointing ,sad since we have been dining in your establishment for many years. Firstly we had a drink in the bar and ordered gin and tonics. The first three brands we chose were empty bottles on the shelf, we were told they were the most popular and they had run out, if so why not replace them ... it’s a bar. We booked a table at 6pm for a quick supper before going to the Royal Geographic Society lecture that started at 7pm. We explained our intentions to the restaurant staff but the service was so slow that even by 6.45 the main course had not appeared. There was not a shortage of staff and we had to get up from the table several times to “chase “the main course, it was impossible to catch their eyes. The restaurant was quite empty with two other couples and a table of four. The service for the other two couples seemed equally slow although the table of four arrived after us and we quickly served albeit with a starter and French fries in time to leave and find their seats on the row behind us. In order not to be late, we had to abandon the main course and leave. This was through no fault of our own but due to the exceptionally poor service and I was outraged to find we had to pay for the main course, which still hadn’t appeared as we left. The entire experience was very embarrassing. I don’t expect to hear from you but you did ask for our dining experience and I doubt I will ever got o tour restaurant again.

Lacking in atmosphere, we were more than disappointed with this restaurant due to poor service and not the expected standard of food. It was an anniversary treat before going to the Royal Albert Hall and we would unfortunately say that it spoilt our visit

Excellent service and very good value for money in an elegant, quiet and non fussy restaurant.

A nice meal, the food was almost 4* but the pate was v watery probably from being frozen. The pea soup was amazing. The service was good but being asked 3 times if our food was ok by 3 different people on the same course was annoying. Nice setting, when we went it was v quiet but I can imagine the ambience would be lovely during busier times.

Very good service, nice menu, altogether ideal for pre-theatre/concert dining.

Staff were friendly but a couple of mistakes (fizzy water poured into all glasses even when half of us were on still and just stopped waitress pouring white wine into the red!)

a great dining experience. Because we ate early (5.30pm) there were only 3 tables occupied but the restaurant did not feel empty due to the lovely surroundings and intimate atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and the meal itself was delicious.
