Welcoming fine dining in a quietly friendly restaurant. Very knowledgeable front of house helped confirm the most suitable wine and offered a cheaper option. The food was really good worthy of Mitchelin praise with a local focus. A very good wine cellar and pricing. We’d travelled 200 miles and would certainly come again

Welcome - warm and personal, still efficient. Service - relaxed but very professional. Food - excellent and very well-presented. Only regret - lamb was not available; but this provides a good excuse for returning, which I would very happily do. Background music - quiet but very well-chosen, not at all 'muzak'.

All of the dishes we ordered were excellent, even the mushroom strudel which was ordered as much out of interest as desire. Our 17 year old son was very impressed which is quite a rare feat of achievement. Lovely welcome despite us being late and great relaxed atmosphere. Hopefully it will not be so long till we visit again.

Great welcome. Everything about it was classy. Good wine list, good drinks list, no pressure at all. Their booking policy staggers arrivals, so there we were never hurried. And with my 80-year old Mum that was a great bonus
There's a family link with Brixham, so I went for two fish dishes, both freshly sourced from Brixham. My squid starter was delicious. Simple, but it was done perfectly. For my main course I chose the monk fish. I think this was the most delicious monkfish I've ever tasted. The consistency was just perfect, and with a generous portion. It really was exceptional.
I liked the booking service. I booked online, had to make an amendment by email, and received confirmation on both counts by email. Very smooth, and nicely personal.

Excellent as always. The duck was beautifully cooked and tasty as was the John Dory and scallops, accompanying vegetables were fresh and cooked exactly right. The sticky toffee pudding and cheescake were also great. Quantities of food were about right, we managed three courses comfortably without feeling absolutely stuffed. Angela is always so warm and welcoming and seems to remember everyone! I enjoy sitting near the kitchen where you can peak through and see the chef(s) in action. Not the cheapest place in town but you get what you pay for, first class food.

This restaurant reliably provides an exceptional experience. My three vegan courses were all delicious. I was impressed how many lovely fruits and vegetables the chef managed to incorporate into them. My partner thoroughly enjoyed his meal.

My wife and I had a fantastic night at Angela's. We started the night with a locally made gin and tonic, great taste and a few olives. The meal we had was delightful, we both started with scallops in a leak, white wine and light cream sauce with bacon bits, for our main we both had fillet steak which was cooked to perfection, I also ended up with delicious dessert. The meal was one of the best we have had for a very long time, in fact the last meal we had that was as good was in the Maldives. We highly recommend this restaurant for any special night out or just a treat, you won't be disappointed. Angela the host and joint owner with her husband who is the chef are a lovely couple and made us feel very welcome and special, this was our first visit but will not be the last.
