Staff were helpful & friendly. The food was was delicious. The only downside was how closely the tables were crammed in. Very difficult to take your seat. Lots of other customers appeared to be of the same opinion.

Zizzi delivers what it says on the tin - decent scoff and very acceptable beverages all at reasonable prices. The star of the show was the waiter - he was rushed off his feet, but was ordered and thorough and checked back several times during the meal whether we wanted "top-ups". Yes, it was noisy but hey this is a busy Zizzi - what else do you expect...or perhaps want?

The starters (risotto balls) were nice & fillling. My friend ordered the chicken pasta which she really loved. It arrived hot & there was plenty of chicken in it. I ordered the hanging chicken skewers which looked pretty but was not great. I really wish I had chosen the chicken pasta which I had had in the past & enjoyed. consequently I was left feeling hungry. My friend also loved the banana sundae. I had the calzone as I needed something filling as I was still hungry which was not bad. The dough was very light which was good. I found it awkward to use the knife & spoon to eat it with because I had to constantly swap hands I.e. use the knife to cut with my right hand whilst holding the spoon with the left then switch the spoon to the right so I could it then eat it and repeat the process. I think I would have preferred a fork & spoon as you can place either in your mouth which you can't with the knife especially as it was the sharp pointed type. I was surprised the waiter did not return to the table with our change which although was only £3 we had intended to leave it on the plate with a further £3 so they would have had a £6 tip. As I don't like people making assumptions I therefore picked up the £3 we had left in the plate & left the restaurant.

Nice place and reasonably priced. My mother and I dined here pretheater and enjoyed the food quite well. Their bread is delicious and we shared a hand stretched margarita pizza that was thin, crispy and really well done. Very conveniently located for the Victoria Apollo Theatre.
