We were let in straight away since we had a booking however the waiter was not friendly and starter were soaked in drum of cheap oil and no taste of prawn at all and uncooked rice and cheese balls. As they didn't have the one advertised on tri Card on the table after our order was taken . My lamb meat balls with pasta had pasta and cheese burnt on top and tough to chew on . My son ordered pulled beef and venison and was told after an hour that they have run out so had to choose something different . Wife s birthday so she had an email which got us processco and mains free however overall was not a great experience. . As we were leaving the same waiter was arguing with the waitress and said " I don't care " , now it make sense.. also had some sort alarm above our head kept beeping was so annoying

Greeted promptly but unfortunately downhill from there. Didn't have several things on the menu, starters were fine and one main meal out of three was ok. The excuse from the manager was that the chef wasn't in and they were trying to cope without him. Should the restaurant even have been open without a chef? The side order of tender stem broccoli arrived with four small pieces at a cost of £3.50! Rather expensive and to be honest cold. To their credit they did take one of the main meals and the broccoli off the bill and offered the three of us desserts on the house. However not sure that this is enough for me to want to visit Zizzis again.

If this had been my first visit to a Zizzi restaurant it would have been my last. Whilst our waitress was delightful we waited 20 minutes for our drinks a and 40 minutes for our starters. We could clearly see all the arguments taking place between waiters and chefs. The chefs appeared to be fighting between themselves. The waitress managed our complaints well however the quality of the food was appalling and fell far below that which we have come to expect from a Zizzi dining experience. After two hours of chaotic service we left still not able to have a desert or coffee as we would have missed our theatre trip. Sorry but disgusted by the experience.
