We had booked the restaurant the week before we dined as it was a special birthday meal as part of a weekend away in Liverpool. The restaurant was very busy as it was a Saturday night but unfortunately our table was on the end of a row right next to the waiters station and till. We felt really hemmed in and had no room at all. Discussed with the waiter that we had booked the Frizzante menu, we felt that the waiter was slightly 'put out' that we wanted the Frizzante menu and that he had to find the Frizzante menu. The food was average, my husbands lamb dish much better than my chicken dish, chicken had a processed taste and texture to it, however, the sauce veg and potatoes were lovely. My pannacotta dessert was still frozen in the middle. Overall just felt disappointed as it had meant to be a special birthday meal and we were both underwhelmed.

A wonderful experience. Very polite and attentive staff. Delicious food and such a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. Thoroughly enjoyable. My husband had never been to a Zizzi before and said that it was definitely the best Italian restaurant in the UK. Thank you.

Booked a table for 5pm unaware that there where disruptions with train services upon calling to inform of us running late and wasn't sure what the policy was on holding a table was. Spoken with a lovely lady who insured we would still have a table even of we were 30 minutes late. Arrived was very busy but didn't mind. food was brilliant service was good.

The staff were excellent, attentive and accommodating. The food was very good although we only ordered four starters for the two of us. Only downside was that it looked slightly grubby, it was very busy and I expect therefore difficult to keep completely clean all of the time.

Excellent frito misto & zizzi antipasti, great pizzas & salad, helpful staff. Some of the chairs were very uncomfortable - but easily swapped

The food was average but I considered it to be overpriced.
