We enjoyed a girlie lunch yesterday. Food was good. I had lasagne which I'd had before and really enjoyed it. Seafood risotto well presented and good. Duck apparently also good. Also children are well catered for. Overall a very nice lunch. Will return.

Excellant meal in lively surrounds. Friendly staff.

On entering the restaurant which was fairly busy, being new years eve, we were greeted immediately by our friendly waitress who had details of our online booking to hand. We were shown to a table and from that moment on, the service was excellent. We ordered an aperitif of mixed nuts and olives followed by a pizza and a pasta dish. We also ordered a bottle of red wine all of which were delicious. We would certainly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

The food was really good but the service was not good at all. On arrival we had to stand outside until they would let us in. Then after our food arrived nobody came to see if you were happy with your food or if you needed a drink. It took ages for us to reorder some drinks which then took 20 minutes to arrive. Anf we had to wait 45 minutes for our main course. They was clearly not enough staff on. Rather disappointing. We will not be going back.

Very bad service. Had to wait 90 minutes for a pizza and it was cold when arrived. Many people complained that night and staff seemed didn't care about it. Really disappointed

Lovely food, but slack service meant we only had one course over a period of 90 minutes.
Even getting the bill was a chore.

Zizzi's is one of my favourite restaurants and have frequented many around the country, but on this occasion I was so so disappointed. Table was booked for 6.00 pm. Was seated straight away. Only had drinks menu on table. 20 mins later our waitress came to take out food order, told her we had not even seen a food menu. Once we ordered it was 10 mins before the waitress came back to inform us that the 'meatballs' were not available. This is early evening in an Italian!!!!. She actually stood over my friend whilst she re ordered. Another 10 mins and she returned to say the 'goats cheese ravioli' was not available. Again she still stood over my friend until we asked her to move whilst she chose. The food this time came. What I had was lovely. (the short rib). My friend said she enjoyed hers but it was just chicken and pasta, and her 3rd choice !! . Surely a restaurant of this size should have the 'basic Italian' meals available. Especially that early in the evening. We found it strange that the waitress did not state when giving us the menu what was not available. I understand that she may not have known at that time..but later when a couple were seated on the next table to us (same waitress) and given menus they were not informed that the meatballs and ravioli were not available. The lady actually did order the meatballs only to be told that they were not available. Surely when the menus are first given out is it not better to inform the customer what is not available immediately ..with an apology. We did quietly complain about this and was reimbursed the price of a meal and a drink. Which TBH we did not expect. So thanks for that. It did put a dampener on the evening as it was my friends first time in Zizzis. I felt let down as I had been saying how fantastic it was. Would I return???? Probably as my food was good but now it would not be my first choice of Italian in Leeds. Also there was no toilet roll in the ladies.

Absolutely awful. The service was slow and really bad. The wine was warm. My friend found a hair in her pasta.. staff just don't care. There are plenty of other restaurants diont bother going here

It was a bad experience. We had booked our table online. Arrived on time. Served drinks. Our food order was taken. But it took 45 minutes for it to arrive. We only ordered pizza. We had to eat this in a rush as we were going to a concert. The manager was apologetic but said they had too many customers for the amount of staff.
I will not be going back to Zizzis at Leeds.
