Dined here as part of my wife's 50th birthday weekend. Very busy but staff on top of everything. All the food was excellent and the wine was spot on.

The response to my on-line reservation was a long time in coming, although it did arrive after I had telephoned the restaurant to confirm my booking. The meal was all that was expected and the staff were courteous and helpful. The wine was very palatable but expensive for what it was.

The best dining experience so far in Chester. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, and regularly asked us for drinks. Originally 8 people on 3 tables, they brought us an extra table so that we could spread out more which was nice. The starts took a little while but we werent in a rush and they were all enjoyed. The only disadvantage to the starts were that those sharing platters got 3 rolls, an odd number which was the same amount as a single platter and also awkward to share.
Mains were delicious and perfect sized portions, we cannot fault the dishes whatsoever, but one dish was hotter than anticipated when read from menu, but still tasty. Finally, desserts were lovely for those that chose them, and we loved the hot drinks that were served in the cups meaning that your hands wouldnt burn. Honestly the best meal I've had in Chester for the duration of living here for 3 years. Also the atmosphere and ambience was delightful, as it was big but not stuffy and crampt, felt quite luxurious.

Went for Sunday lunch and it was very quiet. The service was reasonably good and the waitress was really nice and attentive on a quiet service. The food was mediocre particularly for the price. I think there is better food to be had with better value for money elsewhere in Chester.

Food was nice but nothing special, drinks order came aventually but just took so long for 3 drinks. I asked for plates with our starter because none where brought to us when we had the garlic bread to share and plates came with old food on them, very dirty. The waitress hardly spoke and had no manners and did not apologise for the obviously dirty plates she gave us and she was not trained to answer questions when we asked about certain food. Overall I did eat all of my meal but service was poor and I will not be returning.

Excellent Christmas set menu with my husband and friend - although the service was a little slow, we were perfectly happy and the food was beautifully prepared and delicious. Prosecco and limoncello made the set menu real value for money and there was plenty of good quality choices. Lovely staff, great atmosphere and brilliant food.

Food was very good, tried something new (chicken pasta dìsh) recommended by our very pleasant waitress, shame not more people dinning, well worth a visit as the restaurant is decorated ready for the Christmas celebrations, ( The christmas menu loooks tempting ) Crewe couple.

Excellent service and delicious food, we used the week-end special menu which was £14.95 for three course and were very satisfied.
    The tiramisu was lovely.

Poor one came back to ask if food was ok after serving offer of parmasan or pepper...the carbonara my daughter had looked and tasted awful, had a pool of oil in base of dish, shouldnt carbonara be creamy??????????
We did complain when staff came to collect our plates and cost of carbonara was removed from bill.
Not the best experience we have had in Zizzi Chester....disapointed ........
