Housed in a grand old shooting lodge overlooking the Cambrian Mountains, Gareth Ward’s Michelin star, 4-AA rosette restaurant serves alternative British cuisine, using the UK larder to produce tasting menus that take diners on a journey.
There is the choice of 2 tasting menus served each evening, and a shorter set tasting menu for lunch, all offering numerous small courses, packed with beautiful flavours of land and sea. Showcasing the best of Welsh ingredients following the seasons, expect the likes of Welsh wagyu beef, Welsh lamb from the Dyfi Valley, and innovative dishes like ‘Not French Onion Soup’ and ‘Mackerel Sweet & Sour’. Enticing desserts on the Ynyshir menu include Gareth's take on a tiramisu, all served alongside an extensive wine-list while overlooking the mountains.
On the edge of the Snowdonia National Park, Ynyshir looks out across stunning scenery. Aberystwyth is a 30-minute drive away.
