Awarded a Michelin star in its opening year, Yauatcha is a slick Soho hideaway serving modern Chinese delicacies and dim sum. Designed by the acclaimed Christian Liaigre, the dining room features an open kitchen for views of the chefs.
Specialising in small plates and all-day grazing offerings, the Yauatcha menu showcases delicate steamed dim sum, fresh seafood, and sumptuous oriental-style meats. Enjoy favourites like braised Somerset lamb with black pepper sauce, Mongolian-style venison, or jasmine tea-smoked ribs.
Bespoke desserts are crafted with the utmost skill at Yauatcha in Soho, with handmade chocolates and macarons on offer, as well as mandarin macadamia, or a summery raspberry delice. Fruity and cleansing cocktails are mixed using the finest available ingredients, while the drinks list features vintage wines, sakes, and flowering teas.
A sister restaurant of the celebrated Hakkasan fleet, Yauatcha in London sits 8 minutes’ walk from Tottenham Court Road and Oxford Circus Tube Stations.

Experience with reservation staff was most positive. Some waitressing staffs appeared more aloof than others.1 (of 6 dishes ordered) order was wrong, was given sweet and sour prawn instead of pork. But it was rectified quickly and smoothly. So overall, positive.

I booked this restaurant as part of a new dating game going around, called Alphabet Dating. This was C for Chinese. We had never been before, and probably wouldn't go again. NOT for any reason other than we had no idea what we were ordering! The service, layout, staff, facilities, overall look, and quality of Yauatcha were amazing. And the food we did get, the £45 set menu, was incredible. Goodness knows what half of it was, but we loved every mouthful. If you're a bit more experienced in dim sum, you'll love it!

The dim sum, deserts and the drinks here are amazing. Well worth just going for that alone. Where it lacks is in the mains, standard Chinese food, albeit with higher quality ingredients though, but i couldn't differentiate any differences in the sauces that you would receive in a normal Chinese restaurant.
Terrible. awful. For the price you pay for your meal (in our case for two people £190) is just awful. waiters are not attentive, dim witted too. We ordered our mains and they forgot to place the order of the rice with the kitchen, our pak choi came 5 mins before of beef and black bean as well and we ordered it all the same time. Dont expect the same level service for similarly priced restaurants.
terrible service, mains are very mediocre, BUT the dim sum is amazing as well there desserts and drinks.

Love Yauachta and food was great as usual but table next to us had 8 young people obviously enjoying themselves, who seemed to be finishing when we arrived and were there still drinking when we left so obviously there 2 hrsvery loudly or more. Sadly the girls instead of just laughing cackled and squawked very loudly and this was very disturbing apart from not being able to talk to each other, Service was pleasant but a little frenzied - I guess a busy brunch time. So the experience was really spoiled although we loved the food. Our favourites are vennison puffs, turnip cake, crispy chilli squid and we always include these in our choice. My friend and I mostly go in the evenings and although noisy have never had a disappointing experience, Perhaps the staff should have thought to put two ladies of certain age in a more protected area?
