Awarded a Michelin star in its opening year, Yauatcha is a slick Soho hideaway serving modern Chinese delicacies and dim sum. Designed by the acclaimed Christian Liaigre, the dining room features an open kitchen for views of the chefs.

Specialising in small plates and all-day grazing offerings, the Yauatcha menu showcases delicate steamed dim sum, fresh seafood, and sumptuous oriental-style meats. Enjoy favourites like braised Somerset lamb with black pepper sauce, Mongolian-style venison, or jasmine tea-smoked ribs.

Bespoke desserts are crafted with the utmost skill at Yauatcha in Soho, with handmade chocolates and macarons on offer, as well as mandarin macadamia, or a summery raspberry delice. Fruity and cleansing cocktails are mixed using the finest available ingredients, while the drinks list features vintage wines, sakes, and flowering teas.

A sister restaurant of the celebrated Hakkasan fleet, Yauatcha in London sits 8 minutes’ walk from Tottenham Court Road and Oxford Circus Tube Stations.

It was pleasant enough, but only that I wouldn't particularly go rushing back.
For the equivalent value their are far more luxurious dining experiences in London ((Sake no Hana, Hakasan etc.) which offer more generous amounts and types of food that unlike this have a real ''WOW' factor.
Also I didn't like the fact that despite carrying a large umbrella and a gym bag there was no offer to leave item in the cloakroom upon arrival. A restaurant like this should really know how to greet people and welcome them in, I didn't feel that here - but I guess the restaurant lies in the heart of Soho so maybe this conveyer belt vibe is just how it is.

The menu was not nine courses, it was mainly dim sum so in reality about three courses, the food itself didn't feel like their best...the staff treated you like you were there on a reduced price menu. The drink was good but if anything it put me off the place I love as I've been here many times.

We went for the 9 course tasting menu and it was fantastic. Selection of dishes is amazing with a wide variety of fish/meats. Absolutely loved it and will be going back.

    Good food and good service

Syngapoore noodles were so good, it was sad not to be able to eat them, perhaps the cheff droped the whole bottle of chillies instead of just a few by mistake.

Don't recomend soft shel crab with almonds.

The rest was spectacular. Would come back, would recommend. Just ask for the Syngapore noodles to be mild instead of extra extra extra hot.

(We're Mexican and do like hot food)

Delicious. The special deal was very good value. 9 dim sum and a cocktail for £29. And a very helpful sommelier picked the perfect wine for us.
