    I lovely time there

Myself and 5 friends visited DSTRKT as part of the 7 course taster menu, prior to arriving at the restaurant I emailed the restaurant to advise them that 1 of our party of 5 is a vegetarian and if they could cater for this which they advised was fine. During our meal the waiter advised us that our next course was fried olives, my vegetarian friend had eaten three of these not knowing that the olives contained sausage! My friend was appalled that she had not been advised that the olives contained meat when the waiters/staffs/chefs were fully aware of this. We where then rudely addressed by the manager who thought that multiple rounds of alcholic shots were appropriate! My friend had lost all trust and confidence with the waiters and chefs by this point that she did not feel up to eating the remaining vegetarian meals. We then waited another hour for 1 drink that we had ordered at the start of the meal, we had already asked them numerous amounts of times for the drink. The waiters could speak very little english and when asked what was in the food or shots they did not know, I find this disgusting that a top london restaurant forgets to advise a vegetarian that the food contains meat, takes over an hour to deliver 1 drink and when asked what the food/drink was they could not advise appropriately. Lastly when the bill arrived we noticed that we where charged for 10 sparkling waters that we did not have, we also did not think we should have been charged for the vegetarian meal, when we queried this with the manager, he snatched the bill out of our hands and marched off to the till to rectify this, again I do not think this is professioanl behaviour! I have never experienced such unprofessional service and I definitely will not be returning to this restaurant.

I booked the restaurant for a birthday celebration with family. The staff at front of house were extremely attentive and friendly. However, whilst we were waiting for the rest of our party I waited for a long time to be served drinks, the service was extremely slow and they had the cheek to charge 12.5% please tell me what for? If they had brought drinks to the table fair enough. When we were seated, the service was slow, lots of waiting staff, but had to ask the waiter to explain the menu, not impressed. The food was tasty and enjoyable but had to wait a long time between courses. They served steak and did not ask us how we wanted it done. The steak was rare and just warm, some of our party had to ask for the steak to be cooked medium. I found the waiting staff were not particularly friendly or attentive, we had to keep asking for drinks. Extremely disappointed as I would have expected better.

We had the '7' course tasting menu - this is a little misleading as it really is a 4 course meal with a glass of fizz, the other 'courses' are vegetable side dishes such as brochilli and gnocchi, also the 8 oz. steak is shared. In saying that, the food was of good quality, well cooked and the service was excellent if a little formal. The only dish we did not enjoy was the dessert, panacotta cheesecake, which was very sweet and cloying.

For £30 per head it was good value

Great food, the 7 course option makes for an original and satisfying selection! Some of the staff need to improve their English as we had a couple of misscommunications

Overall the food was good, but not spectacular. At £30 for the fixed price menu, we couldn't grumble but I definitely wouldnt pay full price for the quality of the food!

Food was very flavourful and great presentation. Atmosphere a bit intimidating at first but service was excellent. Music a bit too loud if you want to talk during your meal. 7 course offer had great variety and portions way too small for 2 people. Would go back there for main meal and id recommend to try it.

The dinner was good and the food was good however, after we finished dinner we went to the bar by the tables and ordered the same cocktails we ordered at the table. The bar tender over-charged us and when we asked for the drinks menu (we had at the table) he said there was no menu and would not give us a price list. This happened to us downstairs in the bar as well. We were informed that although they can make us cocktails, they do not have a pricing list. They only had a list for bottles. So basically, they can make us cocktails but they will charge us what they want. It was a joke. We decided to leave and the staff at the cloakroom lost my jacket. They told me that I did not give them a jacket (even though they took my ticket) and after I made a fuss, they found my jacket and did not even apologise. we did complaint to the staff, they told us that they agreed with us and had nothing nice to say about the place. Worst customer service I have had and I have booked through this site several times. I went to Dstrkt for my birthday celebration and all of us were very disappointed - the whole experience ruined the dinner experience.
