Lovely evening and restaurant even if it was quiet, however unfortunately after a 3 course meal we were still hungry. Staff were great.

We booked a £29.00 deal to include 3 courses and a cocktail. I phoned the restaurant a couple of hours before the booking to make sure that they'd received our special diet requests, which they said they had. No mention was made at that stage of the fact that the kitchen was not fully operational. The first person to arrive ordered a cocktail (admitedly off the menu) which cost just under £19.00. When we sat down we were told that the meal offerings were limited but every time we ordered the poor waiter was forced to return to the table to tell us that that was no longer on the menu. Effectively I could only have a salad for a starter - which was very yummy but was really a salad - a steak with no accompaniement at all, so they brought another salad and a sorbet, which cost £37 including tip because we'd ordered a bottle and two glasses of wine. If we'd been warned at 5.00 I would have understood, but I feel the restaurant conned us. There is no way I would go back or recommend this restaurant to anyone else although what they did cook, they cooked very well. Our poor waiter Mario was very embarassed and very engaging, but short of a round a round of free drinks, there was little he could do. By the way, they are clueless about special diets - my steak came with a sauce - on questioning it was a whisky sauce, which contains malt.

I love eating here - the food is always delicious and if you get a deal (we had three courses and a cocktail for £29), it's very reasonably priced. They do a nice espresso martini, too. And service is invariably excellent.

From reviews was expecting really poor service but was excellent. Friend enjoyed good way more than I did but overall pretty good. Atmosphere great.
