Beautiful surroundings and delicious food, a great deal. Word of warning, bar prices are horrendous , over £30 for 2 G&T's. Would definitely go and eat there again

The Landmark hotel is easy to find - just a minute's walk from Marylebone tube station. I had always wanted to try afternoon tea here since I had visited the hotel 15 years earlier for a meeting. The stunning glass atrium of The Winter Garden, filled with palm trees, soft lighting, lilies and a harpist or pianist was like an oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the city. I was not disappointed. My 23 year old daughter and I arrived 25 minutes early, but this was no problem and we were led straight to our table. Waitresses were attentive, but not over the top. We were first asked if we wanted a glass of champagne before our tea which we politely declined. We then perused the menu - my daughter selected the Traditional Afternoon Tea at £45, whilst I chose the Chocolate one at £48. I selected The Landmark's own brew of tea from a long list, and as my daughter does not drink tea they offered her a hot chocolate or soft drink. We were brought 4 finger sandwiches, chicken mayo with tarragon, smoked salmon, egg mayonnaise and cucumber. These were replenished several times by the waitresses. Then came two scones each, apple and sultana, plain or in my case, chocolate chip. A large bowl of clotted cream and our choice of two different jams accompanied them. Again, we were asked if we required more scones later. Tea was constantly topped up and fresh brews made during the meal. Finally, the piece de resistance - came 4 individual cakes each - so pretty, we hardly dared try them! But of course we couldn't resist - they were delicious. Any that we couldn't manage were packaged up in their logo'd black and gold box for us to take home. We were allowed 2 hours per sitting which is just about right. My only slight qualm was the 12.5% discretionary service charge, which pushed the bill up from £93 to £104. However, I figured when spending that sort of money what's another £11?

I had afternoon tea at the Landmark (Winter Garden) with my mother and it was brilliant. The food was delicious, and in abundance, and the staff were incredibly attentive and had great attention to detail. As soon as our cups were empty we were approached by staff for a refill. A truly relaxing and luxurious experience in a beautiful setting.

Afternoon tea was delightful . I was very pleased with the tasty vegetarian choices and found the selection of teas included interesting choices. Generous amounts of food and tea were supplied including a second serving of sandwiches, if desired.

The very courteous reception, service, and friendliness of all the staff made the visit a very pleasant experience for both of us. On our first visit to the Landmark, but hopefully not our last.
The food and drinks were very good, and although we took advantage of a meal offer the choices were good and varied.
The winter garden setting was very pleasant and comfortable.
Overall a good choice and experience for both my wife and I.
