In the heart of Leicester, Windows on New Walk serves French and Mediterranean-inspired cuisine in a setting that oozes indulgence. During warmer weather, guests can relax on the terrace overlooking the well-heeled New Walk.

Starters such as maple and soy cured salmon with chive crème fraiche comprise the Windows on New Walk menu, whilst pancetta-wrapped slow roast rabbit leg stuffed with chicken and chorizo is always a popular main course.

Try the dark chocolate ganache and Earl Grey tea prunes with raspberry sorbet and hazelnut cream for dessert at Windows in Leicester. Guests dine in the traditional dining room amidst luxurious red walls and wooden panelling, with the space brightened naturally by enormous windows.

Next door, Jamie’s bar offers classic cocktails and an extensive wine list, with an array of casual food served in a relaxed setting. In the lavish surroundings of the boutique Belmont Hotel, Windows on New Walk is a 4-minute walk from Leicester Train Station.

We had a sweet and relaxing afternoon tea. The Windows restaurant had a luxurious feel to it. The afternoon tea spread was lovely and hearty, the scones and cream were my personal favourites.

It's a very nice restaurant; the food was delicious and the service was excellent. There wasn't a great choice but we had opted the for two course pre-theatre menu. Breakfast was very good, served piping hot on hot plates, well done! Again, the service was excellent.

Excellent afternoon tea selection, good value for money & excellent service as well. The room was a little dark & quiet, but this was a minor issue as we really enjoyed our experience & would definitely go again.

Restaurant has no atmosphere staff friendly enough but felt rushed. And no roast pototoes. Asked for more beans as only two veg but don't like baby corn and beans arrived after we finished dinner.

Menu was a bit limited and hardly anything on there that I liked. Apart from a chicken burger there was no other meals containing chicken. Ended up having an new potato and red onion omelette with a side order of sweet potato chips. It was lovely-really enjoyed it. Staff were very accommodating, friendly and helpful. .

An amazing location, delicious food (I had the guinea fowl, which was both nice and filling) and beautiful deserts.

We have visited this restaurant many times over the past twenty years and have always found the standard of food excellent.
The service is first class and the atmosphere is wonderful.

Food was overpriced and Luke warm. Tiny portions. Service was slow and surly. Waited too long for menus, drinks and food. Cutlery dirty. Glasses dirty. Restaurant almost empty and still couldn't get it half right.
