Wild Garlic have earned themselves 2 AA Rosettes and a place in the Michelin Guide with their blend of fresh local ingredients, and exciting fusions of British and European flavours. Chic furnishings and garlic pattern wallpaper lend the restaurant a unique and intimate feel.

Chef Matthew Beardshall worked with Gordon Ramsay and Marcus Wareing before opening The Wild Garlic: a modern, stylish restaurant with a wholesome, locally sourced menu. The Wild Garlic Nailsworth tasting menu is a journey through exciting flavours, featuring chicken and ginger broth, confit sea trout with piccalilli and bourbon blackberry and apple.

For a lighter bite, guests can also feast on the tapas menu, a selection of small meat, fish, cheese and salad dishes. All of the food can be washed down with something from the extensive wine and cocktail list.

Wild Garlic is in the pretty town of Nailsworth, a 10-minute drive from Stroud Train Station and town centre.

We thought the food and service was fantastic. We each had a different dish so was good to see everyone loving theirs. Staff were attentive without being overbearing.
Food was amazing. It was our first visit and can't wait to go back.

A fab dinner and 18th Birthday foodie celebration for my daughter Amelia. We all really loved the food, the Faggots were excellent and the Bolongiere potatoes were simply Devine. Cocktails 10 out of 10. Thank you for looking after us so well and making an 18yr old feel v spoilt.

We had a really lovely evening. The food was exquisite and the service excellent. It was nice to choose from dishes that are a little different to most restaurant dishes. We will definitely visit again!

my boyfriend and i had the sirloin steaks which was cooked to perfection and a great size also liked what it came with and the choice of sauces. The place is decorated very tastefully and staff very efficient and polite will be returning soon

It was a relaxing enjoyable experience. Everything we ate (we all 4 had the cassoulet as our main) was delicious. The wine we were recommended was really good and the service first class. We'll be back!

Oh dear, but since you ask - I had booked a table for my, and my best friend's birthday. We dined with our husbands. The experience was utterly dreadful. I chose the hot smoked salmon with blinis - the blinis were charred on the underside and greasy. My main was chilli and crab spaghetti; the only evidence of crab was several pieces of shell and there was no perceivable taste of chilli at all. Lastly the least triumphant dessert I have ever witnessed. The malteaser ice cream and malt biscuits. A symphony in pale beige, there was the tiniest sensation of malt in the ice cream (if you really concentrated), the base biscuit was soggy and bland, the top biscuit did have a crispness to it that gave me some hope - but was as bland as its flaccid twin. No one noticed that our the table needed drinks (actually the water glasses were topped up regularly - well done that waitress) and, although this was somewhat out of your control, the table next to ours seated 4 of the most boorish drunks that sang songs about killing rabbits (presumably prompted by the rabbit pasta dish?) and yelled at each other in faux Northern Irish accents.
In all an experience I hope to never repeat.
I feel quite sick thinking about it.
I accidentally swallowed a fly once as I was cycling through Devon. That was a better experience.

Good service, very efficient and enthusiastic. Menu OK, not a "wow" but OK.

Hello we had an enjoyable evening but were a bit disappointed with your bacon and chicken liver salad - the chicken livers were undercooked enough for us to decide not to eat them. And we don't like overcooked meat.

As always, a lovely evening. A warm welcome followed but recommendations on what to chose from the new menu. The food was delicious and different - partridge with beetroot. Eating at Wild Garlic always feels like an evening with friends.
