Wild Garlic have earned themselves 2 AA Rosettes and a place in the Michelin Guide with their blend of fresh local ingredients, and exciting fusions of British and European flavours. Chic furnishings and garlic pattern wallpaper lend the restaurant a unique and intimate feel.

Chef Matthew Beardshall worked with Gordon Ramsay and Marcus Wareing before opening The Wild Garlic: a modern, stylish restaurant with a wholesome, locally sourced menu. The Wild Garlic Nailsworth tasting menu is a journey through exciting flavours, featuring chicken and ginger broth, confit sea trout with piccalilli and bourbon blackberry and apple.

For a lighter bite, guests can also feast on the tapas menu, a selection of small meat, fish, cheese and salad dishes. All of the food can be washed down with something from the extensive wine and cocktail list.

Wild Garlic is in the pretty town of Nailsworth, a 10-minute drive from Stroud Train Station and town centre.

Lovely place, intimate setting, friendly staff and the food was first class but the menu was limited. Over all though, a very positive dining experience.

We were really impressed with the food and the presentation of the restaurant. There is no doubt that the food is excellent. I was disappointed with the limited options for our meal, although I understand that this was because there was a 'taster menu' on that evening too. As a vegetarian, I only had one option for each the starter and main course and found them both to be very cheesy. The deserts were very good but again I would not ordinarily have chosen either of the options available as they were both very rich and extremely sweet (apart from of course, cheese again!) Since we paid £35 each for our meals, it was a shame that I could not have chosen something else that I would have preferred.
I would probably go again but only when the normal menu is available.

I went to Wild Garlic for lunch. The new bistro menu offers very reasonably priced food with no departure from the usual Wild Garlic high quality.
Excellent quality, top class food. Superb polite and attentive service.

Myself and 4 friends visited Wild Garlic and were not disappointed. All three courses were superb and there were plenty of vegetarian options. I had game terrine to start, ribeye steak for main and brandy snaps for dessert. All were delicious and cooked to perfection. The restaurant was busy with a relaxed atmosphere. I would definitely recommend it.

2nd visit and as good as the last. This time had a vegetarian and a person with a severe wheat allergy and both well catered for in starters and mains although wheat free dessert limited to ice cream or cheese. 2 had steaks which were slightly undercooked from that requested but were never the less delicious
Good service: attentive but not pushy.

We thought the food and service was fantastic. We each had a different dish so was good to see everyone loving theirs. Staff were attentive without being overbearing.
Food was amazing. It was our first visit and can't wait to go back.

A fab dinner and 18th Birthday foodie celebration for my daughter Amelia. We all really loved the food, the Faggots were excellent and the Bolongiere potatoes were simply Devine. Cocktails 10 out of 10. Thank you for looking after us so well and making an 18yr old feel v spoilt.
