The Half chicken is a must!
27 November 2016
This trendy warehouse-style London restaurant specializes in fabulous free-range chicken. Advocates of strength in simplicity, Whyte & Brown’s philosophy is to make the most of selected produce from trusted suppliers.
The humble chicken is the ‘hero’ ingredient on the Whyte & Brown menu. Starters include a classic chicken & lentil broth; sriracha & honey glazed wings; pork & apple scotch egg; and veggie burrata with roasted delica pumpkin.
Main dishes include the ever-popular chicken souvlaki with sweet potato hummus, black olive tapenade, Greek-style salad, feta, tzatziki & pitta, the 5 spice-marinated roasted half chicken, and a roast chicken crispy burger with gravy mayo and crispy chicken skin served with sage and onion relish. Delicious desserts include a baked peanut butter cheesecake with crème fraiche, and sticky toffee pudding with butterscotch sauce and banana ice cream.
An extensive wine list, great craft beers, and classic cocktails can also be enjoyed in the quirky restaurant and bar interior, where giant exposed bulbs hang from industrial metal hooks over the bar and chunky wooden tables and white-washed factory pipes fill the dining space. There’s also a great alfresco dining available out in the courtyard all year round.
Just off Regent Street and London’s iconic Carnaby Street, Whyte & Brown is a 5-minute walk from Oxford Circus and Piccadilly Circus Tube stations.

Excellent food and great atmosphere. Only downside was that they say that they have craft beers on tap but on that day they only had bottled and little choice of those.

Lovely, spacious interior and good service and tasty food. Highly recommend, particularly at Christmas time when you can look over at the Christmas lights in Kingly Court if you sit on the second floor.

My wife had recently had lunch with you guys & experienced her first expresso martini ( which she raved about). We specifically booked a table for lunch and an opportunity for me to experience also my first expresso martini. SO VERY disappointed when our 2 martinis were served in brandy glasses ( a bit like sipping a glass of champagne from a beer mug!). Sounds SO very trivial BUT this was an exciting occasion (Christmas shopping/lunch/martini) for us. Our waitress didn't seem to care & said that there were no clean martini glasses available for us??? Such a shame :(.

The staff were really friendly and super efficient in their service, I really couldn't fault any of them. I never had to look over to catch their attention, they intuitively knew when to approach the table.
The food, however, was adequate, the Five Spice Chicken was dry and the burger that three of our party ate was quite fatty and we all thought that it needed something acidic to cut through it.
The setting was pleasant and once again I would like to commend the staff but unfortunately we will not be returning anytime soon as the food was disappointing.

I enjoyed Sunday Brunch at Kingly Court, however we were told by the waiter that we weren't able to have a coffee after our meal due to a shortage of cups. This was frustrating as we then had to go elsewhere for coffee and we would have liked to have stayed at the restaurant.

It was hard to find if you are not aware of this area in Soho. We had a good first impression when entering the restaurant. It is very rustic with a warm feel. The food was really good. However, the service let the whole experience down. We have been served by 4-5 different people. We had to ask 3 times for butter for our bread, until it was finally brought to our table. Fries which we ordered never arrived so after 10 min as noone came to ask how was the food, I had to call a waiter and ask for them. There were many occasions we tried to catch someone's attention, but it always took a while.
