An elegant fine dining spot in the heart of Stratford-upon-Avon, the Waterside Brasserie is a majestic string in the bow of the 4-star Arden Hotel. The freshest, seasonal ingredients are incorporated into a menu of modern European dishes, served in a chic and contemporary setting by the River Avon.

Rich and flavourful dishes on the Waterside Brasserie menu include duck ‘two ways’, combining roast duck breast with confit duck leg pie, with accompanying chicory and orange puree. There’s pan-fried hake with pearl barley risotto, crab gnocchi and a crab and ginger sauce, while desserts include a wickedly delicious chocolate fondant with pistachio ice cream and a chocolate sauce.

The Waterside Brasserie in Stratford boasts its own sophisticated champagne bar. Large arched windows flood natural light into the restaurant’s pastel interior, creating a bright and relaxed dining space.

The Waterside Brasserie neighbours the Royal Shakespeare Company theatres, and looks out over the River Avon.

Very good well and imaginatively cooked and presented food. High quality wine but some what pricey

Friendly staff and pleasant surroundings. The meal was fine. One to try again if pre theatre.

Comfortable dining with pleasant service although it appeared understaffed when we were there. The menu wasnt overly appealing although the meal we had was delicious, well-cooked and nicely presented.

A lovely experience from the moment when we were shown to our table and our coats taken to be hung up.....something that is lacking in a lot of restaurants.
The service was excellent...understated but attentive.
The choice from the early menu a little a little limited e.g. Not a basic meat dish but for £16 for 2 courses still value for money
The salmon fishcake starter was the best I've had
All in all a great restaurant in great location especially for R S C evening performance

Excellent food - great ambience - very good, kind, friendly, professional and considerate service - I always love dining here and have done many times

We enjoyed the main course of fish and Puy lentils -delicious. The service was good - prompt and polite. Our only complaint was that the tables for two were too close together. One3 had to squeeze past to get to one's seat.

Excellent food, as usual. The sea bream was especially good.
Unfortunately, there was a problem with service: a little slow (which is not unusual here) but also they forgot entirely to bring one of the mains, so that it only came long after the other four. They were very apologetic, and spontaneously removed the 'discretionary' service charge, but of course such things ought not to happen at all. Nonetheless, we always enjoy our meals here and will be coming again.
