Step into a world of chic at W Hotel Leicester Square. This stunning development draws Hollywood events, a jet setting crowd, and serves a gloriously innovative afternoon tea in its contemporary library lounge.

Enjoy a playful twist on the quintessentially British afternoon tea, the Anarch-Tea. This unique tea combines quintessential British flavours with bold punk designs, served on an authentic vinyl cake stand. Tuck into a Sex Pistols-inspired Battenburg complete with a marzipan icing crown, or a nod to The Stranglers - a pair of red lips made from a strawberry mousse, sealed with a silver zip.

In the evening, the library area transforms into a vibrant setting with intimate lighting and features a stunning bar where you can mingle over a cocktail accompanied by tunes from a resident DJ.

Boasting elegant bar and lounge areas, W Hotel is 2 minutes’ walk from Leicester Square Tube Station. Afternoon tea is served daily at the W Lounge from 2:00pm until 5:00pm.

The "Punk" Anarch-Tea was interesting, the cakes were clever/fun. I would've like more sandwiches on offer. The seating was a little disappointing but we were moved to a better position - unfortunautely the flor and surrounding area was not clean. I expected more from the W Hotel. The service, when we got it, was pleasant - there was just not a lot of it. Cocktails were good!

Overall the tea was lovely. The actual bar/dining area is so cool, my friend and I are keen to go back for drinks.
The sandwiches were good - no dry corners or bland fillings to be seen. Although when we asked for me, we were told no. I have never been turned down for a refill before, and I know it is common to ask, so that was interesting. It's not as if there isn't enough food, but without a few extra sarnies the tea is so sweet heavy.
The cakes were lovely as well, as were the scones.
The service was not quite up to par, we struggled to get our waitress' attention.

Overall though it was a lovely tea and would recommend it.

    Very Disappointing.
Afternoon tea was served in the bar lounge which has only small and low mini tables-not very comfortable for tea.
    Very small selection of tea.
The bread of the sendwiches was dry and it was cut so roughly that parts of the crust still remained.
    The cakes came partly broken.
Nobody explain about the idea and the theme behind it.
Just next to us there was someone working on sawing machine!

The reception staff were very helpful and polite and the initial greeting was positive. The area we were seated was very comfortable and relaxing. The waiting staff were however a little hit and miss, some more friendly and helpful than others! The cakes were lovely and impressive looking, the sandwiches however were quite poor and a bit hard where they had just been taken out of a fridge and definitely not freshly made to order. We also asked for some extra sandwiches and were told there would be an additional charge, we regularly have afternoon tea in London hotels and have never been charged for extra sandwiches. Also there was only one scone each. I feel that this afternoon tea was not good value for money based on the mediocre quality of the food (expect the cakes), the poor tea selection and the hit and miss attitude of the staff.
