Set in a 3-storey Victorian townhouse in an affluent area of London Vinoteca – Chiswick is a wine-bar & dining room serving fine wines & British cuisine. The culinary team is headed by James Robson, formerly of L’Office in Paris.

Besides a selection of cheese & charcuterie, Vinoteca offers a regularly-changing menu; examples of dishes include steamed Dorset cockles & mussels with chilli, garlic & fennel, and grilled Devonshire lamb shank with polenta & black olives. For dessert, indulge in poached winter fruits with amaretti & crème fraiche, or bergamot lemon polenta cake. Each item on the menu comes with a wine recommendation, and brunch & roasts are added at the weekend.

The Vinoteca wine menu is an extensive list of 285 wines, reflecting a passion for small producers. Culinary delights are enjoyed in an intimate dining space with an open kitchen in the rear, an exposed brick wall by the staircase & shelves displaying a selection of wine bottles.

Vinoteca in Chiswick is a 6-minute walk from Turnham Green Tube Station. Fuller’s Brewery & Chiswick house are both an 11-minute walk away.

Great addition to the Chiswick restaurant scene. Very nice staff who are friendly and attentive. Would have awarded more stars for service except the first course took rather a long time to appear, and at a stage in the evening when there were very few diners present - in short it looked as if the kitchen had taken its collective foot off the gas. But the food, when it came, was worth waiting for. Strong flavours and good, fresh ingredients cooked well, with the added bonus of an eclectic selection of wines to complement each course. We've eaten here 6 times since they've opened and have mostly opted for the recommended wine for each separate course. So far we've not been disappointed and it's a great way to get to know new wines that you wouldn't otherwise have tried.
