A striking food emporium in a grand Edwardian building, Villandry St James’s is a continental-style French Mediterranean restaurant. All day dining can be enjoyed in the sophisticated restaurant dining area, or in the more relaxed café space.

Sumptuous dishes on the Villandry menu include pea and ricotta risotto, grilled sea bass with salsa verde and pomegranate, and chicken supreme marinated with green harissa. Melt-in-the-mouth steaks are 28 day-aged and served simply with a choice of sauce and sides, while desserts include a wickedly tempting warm chocolate fondant with salted caramel ice cream.

Evoking an elegant bistro-style ambience with striking red leather banquettes and classic French décor, Villandry in St James’s offers a wide range of breakfast dishes, a laidback brunch and a select pre-theatre menu. Classic cocktails partner sophisticated wines, and there’s an enticing cake counter.

Simple modern European cuisine is executed perfectly at London restaurant Villandry, which also offers private dining. Piccadilly Circus Tube Station is a 5-minute walk away.

Terrible service. One guest waited over 30mins before being asked for a drink. When we arrived to join our friend, The waiter then approached and when we were about to order, another table asked for something. The waiter ignored us then quickly went to the other table. We complained and the waiter said he wasn't 'thinking clearly'. Very slow and poor service.

Lovely location and very nice atmosphere. A good choice of brunch dishes with good quality ingredients. Although there were plenty of staff, service was slow and some of the dishes arrived cold. It was also disappointing to have such a limited selection of tea varieties, with no leaf tea, just teabags, at a venue that is based on top quality produce and highlighting their offer for breakfast, brunch and afternoon tea

A little bit too much salt.

The location was excellent; very easy to find, and just off from main popular tourist areas.
Great view to look out upon whilst dining, which added to the experience during the time there.
The service was superb, attentive staff, helpful and courteous,
The decor, and feel of the restaurant itself was welcoming and relaxing.
The afternoon tea was faultless, very satisfying and looked enticing.

Interesting, I would say Bistro style. Limited menu although interesting. Non specific cuisine.Pleasant staff, waiters could be more smiley. Good wine list. Overall probably overpriced for the total experiance.

Not an entirely satisfactory experience. We were told that as we were the only two diners left in the restaurant at 10pm that they would be closing early and then started the closing process. Main course (broccoli) was over cooked and over-hot. Otherwise OK>

We had a lovely Afternoon Tea and thoroughly really enjoyed ourselves. All
of the staff at Villandry at St James's provided an exemplary service and delicious food. They effortlessly accommodated our dietary and special requests.

A traditional tea with a few modern touches, enjoyed by all ages (18-80). The scones were deliciously huge and the Mojito jellies were a hit.

We would recommend it to others.

On the plus: Friendly staff, very accommodating, yummy food
Not so great: cracked leaking teapots, closing time not specified at the beginning hence afte an hour was told 'we're closing'
