Excellent choice of lunch menu. Chicken and wild mushrooms - my favourite. Damson soup - excellent.

Extremely pleasant and relaxed lunch for five. Staff friendly, helpful, couldn't do enough to assist.
Accomplished cooking, well presented, complimenting the flavours of the ingredients without torturing them and no earth or foam to be seen.
    Favourite dish: lobster risotto

Our experience was fabulous from the warm welcome, the wonderful waiter and waitress and the food well that was quite exceptional, we all loved the canapes especially the scotch eggs and the scallops were possibly the best we have had. My main dish was the lamb it was gorgeous and all of us enjoyed our main meal so all in all we had a brilliant night and we shall be returning to Rivercatcher Cottages in May next year and shall definitely be returning. Thankyou very much you made my daughter's hen night very special.

Deserved every bit of the 1 michelin star. As soon we entered the restaurant, we were ushered to an ante room for pre lunch drinks and have a look at the menu in big, comfortable sofa. Service is impeccable and the food is fabulous. The four of us ordered all different dishes and when we compared notes, it looks like everyone of us is very impressed with the quality. The surroundings are very pretty except that it was windy and raining which made it difficult for us to walk round. Definitely worth a visit.

Superb food, sevice and atmosphere as usual. Only minor point was the 2 course offer £25pp as booked online didn't correspond with what we were charged £27. For £2 more it wasn't a problem but just thought you should know.
