Nice atmosphere - tables well spaced out and not squeezed in. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good menu with lots of choice at reasonable prices. Food was good with large portions. Will definitely eat here again

We were pleased with the venue, it was new to me and one other in the party. I would say the food was average but not a great choice on the menu. Having both the every day menu on the table and the daily £6 (time related) caused some confusion.
The one complaint that I personally had was the quality of Ice cream which I chose as my sweet, It was of poor quality and mostly ice.
If you are going to offer ice cream as a stand alone dish it should be reasonably quality (I would have paid more fora better product)
I would say if you were looking for a cheap lunch it would fit the bill however, as a family gathering it left us a little disapointed.

We had the £6 menu, which was great value for money. We were a party of 4 we arrived at 12.30pm and were not rushed we left at 5pm.A very relaxed atmosphere.

Table reserved in the restaurant area, nice comfy chairs. Menus on table & waitress soon arrived to take our drinks order & they arrived promptly. Ordered our food with a couple of changed which we were told were not a problem e.g. Sweet potato fries instead of chips, coleslaw instead of veg. When the food arrived the changed items hadn't happened. We asked for the items to be changed which they were but by the time the sweet potato fries came the chicken had nearly been eaten ( or it would have gone cold)the coleslaw arrived in a dish which was fine but I still had veg on my plate!! We were not asked if everything was now fine, which has usually happened when we've been before, or offered more drinks. 2 deserts & 2 coffees. I desert on the menu with ice cream arrived with CUSTARD, again was corrected Finally not pleased to find we'd been charged for the change of food & when I mentioned it to the waitress I was told she wasn't allowed to make adjustments and the manager was busy. We four ladies had a good time but we're disappointed.

They never answer the phone, booked online that we wanted roast dinner, told no roasts as they didn't hv the potatoes, so got offered chicken, mash boil or chips potatos & peas & carrots, that arrived but no gravy! Had to ask again, they offered us Yorkshire pud, which they then tried to charge us separately for! This wasn't a roast dinner, but we paid the £9, had to wait ages altho they were not busy! We were a party of 6 adults & 3 children, this place has definitely gone down hill & I have eaten there afew times when it first opened, in the time we were there we had 3 different waiting staff, I actually had the steak with stilton, which I must say was cooked perfect, but overall experience for my mothers 74th birthday was awful!! We should of not paid the price you charge for a roast dinner, as we didn't get what is advertised as your Sunday roast, plus to serve it dry...no gravy!!

Been twice before and been VERY disappointed but decided to try again
Slow bar service (appeared to be shortage of available staff)
Good table allocated, great waitress loved starters, main courses good but unfortunately my wife's main took AGES and spoilt her meal
Price about correct has changed our opinion of place

Had a great lunch, food very good, staff very helpful and friendly. Only problem was the floor was very slippery and dangerous, noticed by several people, especially one guest on crutches
