Amazing Surf & Turf starter! Ayrshire Lamb was also top class. Lovely wine.

Really loved the whole thing, food amazing. Beautiful building inside. Staff excellent. Staying at Marriott for work and practically a hop and a skip away so perfect. Tried other restaurants but came back here twice in four days as every other place I tried was a disappointment.

Excellent meal. The welcome was hearty and the service that followed was great in every way, friendly and attentive. We were served by 5 different staff members throughout the meal and all were co-ordinated seamlessly. The food was beautifully prepared and presented. The venison salad and halibut were standouts. The glazed banana dessert was both original and delicious. The setting was lovely with both historic and very Scottish feels to it. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. There was one tiny issue..... there were a number of small flies flying about during the meal. I understand that it can be difficult to control this type of infestation during the Summer months but it would be a shame for this calibre of restaurant to let the bugs go unchecked!
