Located in the heart of South Kensington, the Town House restaurant & bar is an all-day dining haven, accessed through its own discreet entrance on Manson Place. While away an afternoon over a delicious classic afternoon tea or sip exquisite cocktails at the adjacent K Bar.

Executive Chef Steve Gibbs, formerly of Hix and Caprice Holdings, has created a menu to match all tastes where the emphasis is on fresh produce focusing on the seasons, balanced with its hand-picked wine list with something for everyone.

Designed by Alexander Waterworth, the interiors reflect the building's natural charm and old English Town House aesthetic, with a specially-curated library also adding to the charm. The Town House’s period rooms – consisting of 3 beautiful interconnecting spaces - of what were once individual Regency style townhouses, feature bay windows, working fireplaces, parquet floors and original art.

Launched in February 2016, K Bar is inspired by the sophisticated atmosphere of a gentlemen's club. Deep grained oak panelling lines the space which is softened by racing green and royal blue upholstery. An impressive bar front with leather panelling and a rich green marble top accompanies a polished brass back bar display and bespoke wine fridges. Bar Manager Ben Manchester, has put together a cocktail list with unique recipes created to demonstrate how food and drink go so well together.

South Kensington Tube Station is a 5-minute walk away.

We went for the Tale as old as Time afternoon tea, myself and my best friend and her 2 daughters, such a lovely experience, all the teas were explained to us and we even got to try a sample of one which we were not sure about. All the food was also explained as it represented what was in the film. I haven't had such a lovely afternoon for a long time food was delicious, staff were kind and courteous, but not overbearing.

    Thank you so much

The staff were really friendly - the theme was very well done and the staff made time to take the photos for you which a nice plus. The food was so so but I guess it was more about experience.

We were asked to arrive 15 minutes early for our afternoon tea experience (just so we could be left sat in the waiting area for 15 minutes), the starters for afternoon tea were...odd (a mini rice ball, a mini fish pie and a mini onion tart). The tables were so small that once everything was on there we had no room to move anything! There was however plenty of food once the sandwiches and cakes came out, we were shocked when we realised we had one each! The attention to detail could not be faulted - however for £90 for afternoon tea (without champagne!) I expect some attention to detail. The service was excellent, except once you choose your tea you're stuck with a great big pot of it that goes lukewarm after a few minutes. And they expect you in and out within 90 minutes. All in all - a nice experience but massively overpriced for a few sandwiches.

The Tale as Old as Time Afternoon Tea was beautiful. The detail that had gone into the whole process was stunning. The service was great too.

This was an absolutely wonderful afternoon, I and my peers had a fantastic time, the staff were beyond professional and it was a stunningly beautiful hotel! I am a huge fan of Beauty and the Beast and the decor was very impressive but still elegant, I especially loved the figures of Cogsworth clock and Lumiere, chip and Mrs Potts was a nice touch also. Thank you very much for an incredible afternoon tea...

Happy to say, staff very friendly, helpful, professional, nothing was too much trouble for them.
Service we thought was very slow coming from kitchen, not staff.
food was good themes on cakes lovely. we found some of cakes extra sweet .
Enjoyed our time, was with five grandaughters and great grandaughter travelled from Dorset, special occasion girls enjoyed very much. Thought there could have been much more effort in presentation when arriving and first sight of table was very disappointed, was relieved that some of the Beauty and Beast characters were included as we ate. The Mrs Potts teapot and cups should have greeted and been there on table on arrival.

We had the Tale As Old As Time afternoon tea. It was wonderful, amazing service from the minute we arrived at the hotel. Clean, friendly atmosphere and the staff couldn't do enough for you. The afternoon was delicious. It was a special treat for my 30th birthday and well worth every penny.

The location is fabulous, the staff are extremely attentive and friendly. The tale as old as time afternoon tea is so well thought out down to the smallest of details.
The food was absolutely stunning, my favourites being the starters, macaroons, and cogsworth chocolate tart!
A truly spectacular dining experience that I would recommend to all!
