Very nice afternoon tea, very polite and friendly staff. Would come again.
We were put on a table near the entrance, with view of the wall though. That's the only fault I can find.

Well done!

Very nice welcome when we arrived. We were treated with kindness and respect by all the staff we came in contact with. The sandwiches and cakes were lovely and it was very nice to have the choice of jam or lemon curd to go with the scones, this made a lovely change from just jam. Thank you.

Beautiful. Building and grounds wonderful. Had a walk after eating lovely plants and trees to look at. Afternoon tea was good. Service excellent and all very friendly. Asked for a window view and was given a window view. Overall a lovely afternoon out.

Went for afternoon tea here and it was lovely. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and offered high quality service. The food was of a high standard too, offering a variety of things and a selection of drinks - tea, coffee or others. I would highly recommend the hotel, it had a calm, peaceful atmosphere with fabulous staff and wonderful surroundings. Perfect for staying at or just to visit for a meal, or afternoon tea.

Had a very enjoyable afternoon tea. We loved having the choice of different teas. Very good value for money. All the food was prepared to a very high standard and delicious. We especially enjoyed the lemon posset.

Really appauling service . We had booked for afternoon tea , which is a set tea . When asked if there were any special requests i asked if i could swap my egg sandwiches for salmon one . The waiters words were - no you can share you know ! My friend asked for darjeling tea and the waiter replied -what - leaving my friend feeling embarrassed . After 25 mins of waiting the tea arrived . It took 50 mins for the sandwiches and cakes to arrive by which time we had no tea left . No one asked us if we would like any more , or if everything was ok . We were left to eat our cakes with a jug of water which we ordered when tea took so long . We went to pay and they charged us for 4 not 5 - so we had to point this out as we are honest people .
I would have complained more at the time but we went out to try and support a friend going through a very difficult time so it was not the time to complain .
The sandwiches ( one salmon ) were nice and the cakes but service truly exceptionally bad , bordering on rude .
