Met on arrival, invited to sit and have a drink and after a very short wait we were shown to our table. Off to the carvery and selected our roasts piled on the veg and return to our table to relax and enjoy a delicious meal and sweet. An absolute delight, great company, superb food in pleasant relaxed surroundings with pleasant and obliging staff, there was nothing to complain about. Well done the Bowshaw.

Ridiculously slow on the bar whilst we were waiting for our table. The toilets were very smelly and unclean, unhygienic really. The food was good though everyone seemed to enjoy that. Our waitress was lovely she couldn't do enough for us.

We booked a table and got seated straight away in a nice position. The food as usual was very good and plenty of it. Service was excellent and our waitress very friendly and polite, although the place was packed and very busy.

We visited bank hol Sunday about 4pm with relatives from down south. It was busy but not that manic that you had people queuing for tables. Despite being busy our waitress and what i observed of other staff seemed very well organised, professional and helpful. As we stood queuing for the carvery, the line of people moved along smoothly. Dishes of veg etc were constantly being brought out of the kitchens replenishing the empty ones.
The food was hot, fresh and very tasty. The puddings afterwards were equally as nice and brought out in a timely manner. Our waitress, don't know her name but she had blonde hair, was particularly helpful regarding a food allergy query and nothing seemed too much trouble.
Whoever is in charge of this team in my opinion should be very proud of them and the level of service they provide to the customer. Our visit to the pub was a very nice end to a lovely weekend and we would not hesitate to return in the future on our own or with family and friends.

We went early Friday evening and it was quite busy but as we'd booked this wasn't a problem.
The food was good and well cooked but could have been warmer. There were four different roasts on offer and the portion sizes were very generous and, as to vegetables, you just help yourselves to as much or as little as you want. The staff couldn't have been more pleasant and, considering how busy a period it was, the service was quite good.
Overall, a very nice evening and will definitely go again. Excellent value for money.
