A grand pub with a real homely feel, Toby Carvery Dodworth Valley is an inviting, family-friendly spot to enjoy traditional British recipes. Roast dinners are a speciality here, served carvery-style, and with a great selection of classic sides like golden Yorkshire puddings.

Featuring classic British roasts every day of the week, the Toby Carvery menu is renowned for its crowd-pleasing selection. Choose from juicy, slow-cooked meats, seasonal vegetables and hand-ruffled potatoes (with each one checked to make sure it’s gorgeously crispy). Tempting alternatives at this Toby Carvery in Barnsley include allotment pie, and salmon with coriander and lime, while a varied vegetarian range includes the broccoli & brie parcel.

Old-school puddings are always on offer at Toby Carvery pubs, with famous signature crumbles served alongside chocolate & cherry torte, and baked vanilla cheesecake. The drinks list features beers, ciders, wines and soft drinks, and full-works, all-you-can-eat breakfasts are served each day.

A great example of reasonably priced home-style dining, Toby Carvery Dodworth Valley is 12 minutes' walk from Dodworth Rail Station.

The front of house and waitressing staff were welcoming. The food area was messy and the chef lacked people skills. He was slap happy when serving the meat.

Arrived a little early so went to bar to order drinks, 2 teenagers ordered soft drinks went across to fill glasses with soft drinks, got told off for blocking entrance of restaurant. Moved away until table was ready. Queuing for Carvery asked which meat, wife asked for pork she was given the last piece of one joint and the first 2 pieces of the next joint which was unfortunately gammon when she complained she was left to wait for the pork to come out meanwhile yorkshire pudding going cold. I chose roast beef I too was given the end pieces of the joint which when I sat down to eat was inedible, fat and gristlie. Then ordered sweets apparently run out of chocolate sauce so limited choice. Then came to paying bill. Told have to pay the waitress who served you but she seemed to have disappeared so tried paying at the bar, but could not take it so eventually a new waitress came over and took the payment. Next time we want a celebratory family meal we won't be coming here.

The food was great as usual, veg could have been a bit hotter though. I like the cranberry gravy, mmmm.
Shame that the discounts victimise couple diners as discount only available over £15 of food not including drink.

I took my neighbour who is widowed and lonely here for lunch and we had a lovely relaxed afternoon having a quiet drink and chat then a lovely carvery which was cooked well (no rock hard veg) followed by a pudding and coffee very nice and we didnt feel rushed by the lovely girl who served us although she was very busy. All in all a lovely afternoonx
