My friend and I had a roast from the carvery which was delicious. The only disappointment was the wine. I ordered a glass of Pinot Grigio which tasted like lemonade! I spoke to the waitress about this and the amount was immediately taken off my bill.

Nice food and ok for value.
Service very rushed and we felt that we needed to eat up and move on! The whole two courses in just an hour!

meat fatty. This maybe due to meat cut from end of joint. Good size portions. Puddings improved really enjoyed fruit crumble and lots of custard. Had Eton mess on one visit and wished I had sent it back as it was all cream and very unhealthy and sickly. Absolutely horrible

We have been visiting the crown for over 30 years (now with our grandchildren in their late teens). Never has the food been more delicious though it always has been good. The roast dinners are the best in the world I am sure. Everything served is as fresh as it possibly could be and there is always an amazing choice of both roast meats and vegetables.Value for money is amazing. I don't know how you do it at the cost.

best toby around, plenty of food served, the roast potatoes are really roast and hot, where as eden park and badgers mount branches are terrible.more like boiled
potates. yorkshires are really nice and have an inside.veg all super.
Maybe the other 2 tobys need to go to Bromley Common to see how its done, nice atmosphere, friendly staff who dont rush you, cant fault it at all, just wonder how the other 2 tobys are not as good.
Eden Park wait until the dishes are nearly empty before refilling, were as today Bromley had a lovely display.
Would recommend and will be returning very soon.also the Lattee was excellent never as good else where.
I went there after complaining to a friend about the other restaurants and she told me food is excellent at Bromley Common, must thank her.

Restaurant was very busy but service was still good, only complaint is that gravy and bread sauce were very watery

The booking was made for 3pm but we were held up for 15 minutes due to lack of availabilty of tables. I had a party of 9 and unfortunately the restaurant no longer has any round tables and has to push tables together to accommodate this number. This results in a long table which makes conversation difficult between people at both ends. I really think the layout of the restaurant should try to incorporate one or two round tables although I accept that this might cause some logistical problems. The initial service was somewhat on the slow side but once the drinks order had been taken things proceeded smoothly. The selection of meat in the carvery was good and the quality was very high while the availability of vegetables was good. The desserts were also good and overall I judge value for money to be extremely high.
