Featuring classic British roasts every day of the week, the Toby Carvery menu is renowned for its crowd-pleasing selection. Choose from juicy, slow-cooked meats, seasonal vegetables and hand-ruffled potatoes (with each one checked to make sure it’s gorgeously crispy). Tempting alternatives at this Toby Carvery in Brentwood include allotment pie, and salmon with coriander and lime, while a varied vegetarian range includes the broccoli & brie parcel.
Old-school puddings are always on offer at Toby Carvery pubs, with famous signature crumbles served alongside chocolate & cherry torte, and baked vanilla cheesecake. The drinks list features beers, ciders, wines and soft drinks, and full-works, all-you-can-eat breakfasts are served each day.

great overall experience. expectations were not high so pleasantly surprising. waitress was lovely and the best part of the experience, very helpful, friendly and professional (something lacking in many high end restaurants).
the food was good, cooked well and didn't taste or look like it had been standing so i was pleased. tried all the meats as we were in a group and all were good (even the turkey thats usually not so easy to keep moist). deserts were all great and wholesome.
downside was the meat portions (veg made up for it but still an issue).

six adults in a booth was not ideal even though we had booked in advance, would have expected better seating. Had to wait a while as only one chef and he went off to get more food. People cheered when he came back. Yorkshire puddings were flat as if someone had sat on them and roast potatoes were over cooked and hard to cut. The pavlovas were poor as hardly any fruit in them and meringue was not crisp and seemed a bit stale. At end of meal waitress asked if everything was ok and my brother pointed out that he was still waiting for his desert. She quickly went and got one for him. We have eating in here many times but disappointed with this meal. Hopefully it was a one off.

Terribly over crowded, beyond the restaurant's capacity. 25 minutes for the serving queue is unreasonable in my opinion. Food was ok.nothing exciting. Even with the booking we had a initial 20 minutes wait, so booking only helped secure a table.
It was pick time but I am not sure I will come back anytime soon.

I was quite disappointed, when selecting meats there was only the end of each joint, Yorkshire puddings were flat & not crunchy. You had run out of mash & cauliflower cheese. When ordering starters you had none of one & only one left of another. Drinks were warm despite having ice in them. Salt on table was clogged up & tried several others and all the same. We were there at 6.30pm so why was all the food running out? Toilets were dirty. Waitress was lovely & helpful but other than that we were extremely disappointed. This restaurant used to be so good,

Very good, it was very busy as you expect at Sunday lunch time. Food was good, hot and plentiful. Took my 92 year old Mum and she very much enjoyed her car very.
Will go again but perhaps at a less busy time, as it was air noisy for Mum.
Only complaints it was very hot in the restaurant and very difficult to park.
