The staff were very friendly ,food was okay, the Carvery was filthy,Grease everywhere food everywhere. I was handed my plate and the bottom of it was covered with grease. In my opinion they need to clean more .

    A very busy hectic restaurant
The food was nice plenty of veg and potato choices
The little bit of meat we were given was very tasty and melted in the mouth
The famous Yorkshire puddings were terrible, flat and doughy

Had to que for 25 minutes to be served our meat. So slow with service. Food was dry and taste less stuffing was like concrete. I have already sent a complaint to the restaurant.

Good choice of food, hot and freshly cooked, very good value for money.
Nice waitress who didn't hassle us at all and was quite happy for us to sit at our table as long as we wanted.

It was lovely, name was identified quickly, friendly staff, good food, piping hot, delicious. Tasty desserts and warm and relaxed atmosphere. We also had a lively waitress! Thanks. It was a birthday for myself and my friend.

met a friend at Basildon Toby lovely friendly staff however not having been to a Toby before didn't know the ropes and after 45 mins of sitting thier waiting we finally flagged down a member of the team. it was obvious what you needed to do if you wanted cavery but my friend wanted a baguette. I went and started queueing at the time my friend ordered thinking that the baguette is likely to be quick. there were approximately 15 people in front of me and the chief had to step away for a few moments. this should give an idea of the time it took for me to return to the table. by the time my friends baguette arrived I had nearly finished my dinner - really how long does it take to fix up a baguette!!! it was a shame that the beef was really yes really fatty, but this was pointed out by the cheif to myself and to my friend who ordered a beef baguette by the waitress.
