We arrived earlier than our booked table. Staff were very helpful and got us a table straight away. Very good waitress served, very helpful which helped us have a good experience especially with three grandchildren wanting different things. Thank you.

We had to wait for our table as it was extremely busy but when we got our table the food was good. Was disappointed with the dessert though I had Strawberry mess and it was mostly cream and only two pieces of meringue and we had quite a wait for dessert to come

Food wasn't up to scratch, meat was very fatty not hot enough, still edible but not the standard I expect from a Toby! The floor around the food area was very greasy, dirty, the toilet floors were dirty, our waitress was very good

We took my sister and all three of us had the carvery then a dessert, and cleared the plates unlike a lot of other people that seem to take far too much food and leave it. Brill service.

Took my two grandchildren out for an evening meal last night at 7pm . Waitress was very polite and nothing was too much trouble - Her name was Kelly. The meal experience on the other hand was reminiscent of school dinners. The "chef" carving the meat was so rude. His assistants were very polite however. The chef tried to use every last scrap of bacon which in my opinion should have been thrown away. When I politely pointed out that my young granddaughter would not eat all that fat he became quite defensive but i stood my ground and asked it he could kindly carve her a nice piece from the new joint sitting there waiting to be used - which he did eventually after a bit of moaning. I can understand you don't want waste but I too knew she wouldn't eat it with all that fat so it would have been thrown away anyway. The only difference is I was paying for the privilege. Not a very nice start to our evening. Waitress was wonderful however. Maybe chefs can get away with being rude to their staff - which by the way I think is very wrong - but I was a paying customer.
