Close to the water at Tjuvholmen and with a view over the Astrup Fearnley Museum, you’ll find Tjuvholmen Sjømagasin, a restaurant with a remarkably different approach to fish and seafood cuisine. The concept has be divided into several areas: the main restaurant, the Chambre Separée, the Fish Deli and the conference room. Tjuvholmen Sjømagasin is housed in a striking architectural building inspired by the ebbs and flows of the tide.
The restaurant presents innovative fish and seafood dishes, with a strong focus on freshly caught produce from the sea. With an à la carte menu, as well as party and lunch menus, guests can choose from amongst the lobsters and king crabs from the restaurant’s aquarium in the entrance hall. The restaurant’s charcoal-fired grill enhances flavours.
Tjuvholmen Sjømagasin can be reached on foot along Aker Brygge. From the National Theatre the restaurant is within a 15-minute walk, and it’s a little further from Stortinget. There are also buses from Jernbanetorget that take you all the way to Bryggetorget in approximately 15 minutes.

Vi valgte krabbebuffet, og det var en skuffelse. Krabbene var fine, men det var spinkelt med tilbehør. Til den prisen skulle vi vel vente mer enn en aioli, en majones, sitronbåter og brød? Hva med litt salat, og flere typer brød? Chillimajones? Eller noe som kunne vært litt overraskende? Man trenger ikke en god kokk for å få gode krabber, men en god mekaniker som kan åpne dem. Og da er ca 400,- pr pers for drøyt.
Ellers synes jeg det er dårlig at billigste vin starter på 700,- Egentlig startet den på rundt 600,- men den var utsolgt. Da vi ikke valgte Riesling, ( overkant av 800,-) ble det rynket på nesen, ettersom "alle kundene helst ville ha Rieslling".... Desserten var fin, bra med egen brygge , men ellers er krabbene fra fiskebåten 300 meter bortenfor like gode!

Wines overpriced to the max-small choice of seafood for a special seafood place-chef put a so called sauce hollandaise(which it wasn't) over everything -service hectic and not enough -disappointed
