Fantastic experience. I went with my daughter for afternoon tea. Excellent service. Various choices of teas available and correctly fused using a sand timer. Staff very polite and the food was scrumptious. Would definitely dine here again.

The area we sat in had a lovely, calming atmosphere and set the tone for a wonderful afternoon. The food was delicicious, particularly the plain scones and the walnut cake, however it may have been nice to have a little more savoury selection on the stand. There was a good selection of teas and staff very attentive and accommodating.

Painfully slow service, very average food (highly likely it was microwaved), got asked if I wanted a cider when I asked for a wine list... they then forgot our bottle of wine!! We waited ages for any table water too. A poor experience and overpriced for what it was. Very disappointed as this was a gift. The only thing that pulled it up slightly was one of the male Waiters who at least smiled! (Other people were complaining at the time of our meal too- not so great ambience)

Scallops were lovely. Salmon starter also looked yummy! A bit disappointing that for the price you're charged for the fillet(good postion of meat though&goi quality) you need to buy a side because what's on the plate is more of a snack. Had the chicolate fondue which again was a disappointment, most expensive desert on the menu& not bigger than a mini muffin. The mango panacota though was lovely.
Lovely and helpful staff, and nice atmosphere.

Extremely poor service, disappointing food and overall a very big washout. The soup was tepid ,we where keep waiting thirty minutes ,waiting for main course and then before it was served we were offered the sweet menu. They had forgotten our main course altogether, another fifteen minutes it came. Didn't look anything like the adjoining tables order of the same choice and seemed to have been balked up with frozen peas and carrots (not seen on the other customers dish ). The sweet apart from being tasteless was nothing like any panacota I had had elsewhere ,texture of a blancmange. We do eat out a lot and I buy a lot of sweets from M&S and their panacotta tastes far nicer than yours, creamy and smooth. The waiter service was not attentive as most restaurants are and no real apology for messing up our order.

Food was great but the service let it down, it was quite awful and would stop me returning even though I loved the food!
