We went to the Tiger Green Brasserie with high expectations, seeing that it is part of the Hilton Hotel. Unfortunately we were disappointed and I am surprised it's received such positive reviews. The interior looked inviting and promising, and when we sat down and got our champagne cocktail, I thought, "so far so good!" The cocktail was delicious. However, this was the turning point in the evening. In general, the service was chaotic and the food was disappointing. As for the service, we had a hard time getting the attention of the wait staff. Also, my boyfriend asked for a glass of wine, but it took awhile before he received it, and without asking, they gave him a "large" wine. They could have come back and asked him what size of wine he would like instead of assuming he wanted a "large" wine, and to be honest, for what I would expect would be a high-class restaurant, what are they doing serving glasses of wine to the rim anyway? It is just not classy. Thankfully they did not charge us for this error. Moreover, as I said, the food was lacking. I ordered the beets and goats cheese textures starter, which was surprising -- I thought I would receive a salad? It was more like 2-kinds of goatscheese on a plate with a bit of beets-flavored sauce. Disappointing. I also ordered the steak with vegetables and sauce, but the meat was so over-cooked that it is was tough, and the vegetables were too salty. While I agree that I cannot be too picky because I used the star deal (3-courses), I would expect us to receive the same quality food as if we were paying full price! I do admit that I loved the sticky toffee pudding, but the presentation and size just simply not fit in with the rest of the meal. In general, I would not come back and would not recommend this restaurant. Simply said, I had high expectations, but they were not met.

The dinning experience was excellent. My party and I loved the experience and the service offered at our chosen restaurant.

The experience was very pleasant and made more enjoyable by the Maitre D's excellent and personal attention. One criticism would be that part of the package was a champagne cocktail which we had to ask for after about 45 minutes - it would have been nice to have this much earlier as we were looking at the menu. Also, I called the brasserie the day before to say the dinner was for my mum's birthday and I was told that there would be complimentary cake brought out for her - this didn't happen and I didn't raise it because I didn't want to embarrass my mum.
