We booked afternoon tea in the Tiger Brasserie on a week day. The service was excellent and the staff very friendly and accommodating. The choice of teas was great and i was able to try out a few during the course of the afternoon. My husband had a cup of cappuccino which was also flavoursome. There was a nice selection of finger sandwiches and just the right amount. On the downside, the cakes and desserts were tasty but nothing special and the decor was dated and a little old fashioned.

There were a selection of teas presented beautifully to us, which we got to try five off amazing. Our waiter was extremely attententive despite the fact the hotel was being used for a conference or something it was a bit noisy. Overall it was a fabulous experience. The food was on point and everything afternoon tea should be. Alot posher thrn expected

Nice place a little disappointed in my choice of starter ham hock terrine ,was very dry served with 2 pieces of dry toasted bread , and side order of fresh to toe salad consisted of about 8 tomatoes cut up in chunks with viniger old dressing ? But otherwise food nice

The food was excellent and the attention given by the staff was fantastic. The choice of menu was wide, presentation very appealing. It was a shame that an event which was taking place in the adjoining room spoilt things for us. We went to celebrate our anniversary but it was difficult at times to have a discrete conversation. The manager was very understanding and apologised. I would not want to stop anyone enjoying themselves but perhaps some consideration for the other guests. I did feel sorry for the single guest who was seated directly next to the room. My tip would be to ask if there are any events taking place at the time you book.

Lovely experience. Took a friend for her birthday. Neither of us had tried afternoon tea so had no idea what to expect. All staff were very attentive. Lots of food, could not finish even though we made sure we arrived very hungry. Teas were very nice. Overall enjoyed it very much. Thank you for a lovely afternoon.

Food was very pleasantly presented and was as flavorsome as its appearance implied. Staff were very welcoming and were pleasantly attentive throughout the period of our stay at the restaurant. This was a shared "Red Letter Day Booking" Gift for us and this proved to be a very enjoyable conclusion to a special and memorable day. On a cautionary note, future diners may wish to note that the costs for Service, VAT and Coffee were not included in our package and that voluntary gratuities were also in addition to the service. Hence the costs for two soft drinks and two coffees amounted to £17.35 plus the voluntary gratuity for the waiting staff that we left. On a positive note, staff confirmed that gratuities did go directly to the staff. All in all, a very enjoyable meal with excellent service and all provided in a clean, attractive and relaxing setting.
