The food was lovely and the staff were exceptional!
I am a vegetarian and they catered to my needs very well.

When we first arrived we felt quite disappointed with the actually atmosphere and lack of anything luxurious with the surroundings. It's very basic when you walk in and doesn't have that wow factor that you would normally get in a 5* restaurant/hotel.

However I would like to say that the staff were very friendly, attentive and the food tasted delicious.

Would I go back- no im afraid. For the same price I could go to better restaurants.

We bought the chocolate afternoon tea through Red Letter Days. Overall the afternoon tea was okay but not the best we have had. We left a little underwhelmed. We felt the afternoon tea location in the hotel was a little chilly, however our waitress was very friendly and welcoming.

We were given a Red Letter Day eperience for a 3 course meal at Tiger Green and booked to go inbetween christmas and the New Year. Arrived a little early and sat in the bar for a while with our champagne cocktail which was pleasant and, we thought, a good start to our dining experience. Once seated the waitress was polite and attentive, the resturant decor is fine but nothing special. It soon became evident that the majority of diners were also on "experience" deals of some kind but it was far from busy, maybe peaking at 24.

The wine list is ok but typically expensive and to be expected for a hotel in London I suppose, our selection was an Australian Chardonay at just over £30.00. The set menu is adequate with 5 or 6 options on each section. I should say at this point that most of the food was good and the additional costs for certain items was fair. The problem was with the time we waited for every dish to arrive....bread arrived quite swiftly and our order taken and then nothing for around 35mins which wouldn't have been too bad had we not then suffered over an hour for our main courses to arrive.........a further 30 mins for the desserts, sticky pudding and cheese board so nothing too demanding for the kitchen, and to top it off, the sticky toffee was cold and thus followerd another 15 minute wait for a replacement! All the diners had the same experience as us on that evening and I have some sympathy for the waitresses who were constantly appologising and offering free drinks from the bar.

I would normally check out the ratings of a restuarant before booking but, as this was a gift, I didn't have that option. If you are in London for the day or work close by, it may be worth a gamble but definitely not a special journey of 2 hours each way as we did. I accept that they may have had staff issues in the kitchen on this particular service but I can only review my experience and, with a pretty easy set menu on a quiet evening, my conclusion is Must Try Harder!

Nice ambience. Good service from staff. Good choice on menu. Food presentation was exceptional. My chicken was a little on the cold side and when I mentioned this to staff we were offered complimentary coffees by way off an apology.

Christmas evening buffet. The food looked and tasted cheap tipical Chinese buffet stuff you get for £15.00 per head in Birmingham (we paid £85.00 per head) also looked like it had been there most of the day and there was no Christmas atmosphere what soever, the staff were very young and lacked any sence that it was supposed to be a special occasion. The included bottle of wine was a cheap spanish white that you would pay £4/5.00 for and was warm!!! The hotel was tired and in need of a urgent overall the seats in the lobby were covered in blankets to cover the stains. My wife is Filipino and to be fair does not have great expectation and thinks evrything is good here in the UK (its a nice part of her nature) but even she said it was awful !!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE IT IS C#$P To sum it up if the food was this bad in the Ming Moon in Birmingham we would not pay and leave but unfortunately here it was all pre-paid.
