An ‘Italian Restaurant of the Year’ winner at the London Food Awards, Theo Randall at the InterContinental brings sublime rustic cuisine to Mayfair, on the edge of Hyde Park.

Marvellous seasonal ingredients are selected to prepare simple but exciting dishes. Delicate antipasti selections include smoked prosciutto with trevisse tardivo, parmesan and aged balsamic. Dynamic main courses can be seen with such dishes as wood roasted guinea fowl stuffed with prosciutto di Parma, mascarpone and thyme roasted on pagnotti bruscetta. Theo Randall at the InterContinental also offers special vegetarian taster menus.

There are light, subtle desserts on offer, such as amalfi lemon tart, as well as a comprehensive wine list. This, along with early suppers and post-theatre menus ensure that Theo Randall at the InterContinental caters for a huge selection of tastes.

With chocolate and pistachio styling and subtle lighting, Theo Randall’s Mayfair restaurant gives diners relaxation and refinement to mix and contrast with their vibrant, colourful Italian fare. The historic London Hyde Park and Green Park are both a 5-minute walk away.

Elegant bar where they serve a very delicious amalfi martini as an aperitif. Restaurant equally as elegantly designed, absolutely no bling just , pure sophistication! The food is spectacular, fresh and flavoursome. Opting for set lunch, the summer soup of peas and beans, followed by the lamb which melted in the mouth. The portions are very generous and an excellent choice of dishes. The wine list excels in choice and the 2 wines opted for by the glass were fantastic.
Unbeknown at the time, the hotel was being renovated and the only access to the restrooms was right through the middle of the restaurant, which is not large! This was actually was very off putting, you weren't able to concentrate on your conversation or really enjoy the food for the constant stream of people walking through to use the restroom. Some walking slowly interested to see what was in our plates, nice for them, but not for Ilya! Had I known this when booking, I would have delayed our visit. It was a pre birthday celebration and can honestly wasn't impressed with lack of information. Despite this I will be back, but please be honest and provide information about any works which can affect the ambience.

The occasion was to celebrate our daughter's graduation and the restaurant were so kind in sending out a plate of petit fours with congratulations iced onto the plate - a lovely touch.

What a wonderful experience from the moment you arrive to minute you leave. Not only was the food amazing but you were treated like a really special guest. Nothing was too much and the waiters were so friendly and knowledgeable. The small touches too like being able to wear jeans and the free glass of prosecco when you are looking the menus added to the very special evening.

This was the second time I had visited this restaurant. Being half Italian I feel I have a good understanding of Italian food and once again, I was very satisfied. The £35 lunch menu had an adequate choice and with generous, authentic and delicious options, starting with some fine foccaccia and tomato bruschetta. The meal was efficiently and courteously served.
The only downside is the uninspiring basement feel of the restaurant which could do well with a more vibrant make-over.
