Excellent food. My husband had smoked haddock fish cake followed by pork, and I had tomato and goats cheese followed by cod with vegetables, beautifully cooked. We had puds and pudding wine, almond and apricot, I think, soufflé with cinnamon ice cream, and creek brûlée with autumn fruits and black currant sorbet, quite delicious. Very good service and extremely attractive decor. We were celebrating my birthday and I was not disappointed. I do hope the hotel and restaurant do really well, and that it will be well supported, it deserves it.

Afternoon tea. Very clean, pristine environment. Wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. One or two members of staff were a little immature & unprofessional for a hotel business. But the waiter, Chris, was faultless. The sandwiches were freshly prepared & the tea was hot. There was a slight incident with a frozen macaron, that was immediately taken care of. The scones were absolutely amazing. Cannot fault the service at all. Fantastic experience and we would definitely return.

Afternoon tea. Superb sandwiches, cakes were good but the scones were fantastic. The down side was that we were not given a choice of tea which was a shame bearing in mind the price charged. This will not deter us from visiting again for lunch.

The restaurant is decorated to a high standard & has a good atmosphere. It was very busy for a Tuesday night! The service was friendly, efficient & professional. The food was very nicely cooked, I had the config duck. My favourite was desert, the souffle - yum! The whole experience was lovely & much better than I thought it would be.
Just a couple of points,
it was very difficult to find, I walked into the main college entrance& followed the sign I could see - wrong! Get some signage up people, the place deserves to be well sign posted & advertised. The bar could be good local if people could see it.
I found my lovely duck dinner a little on the small size, portion wise, (only one small fondant potato). While ok for me, my 6'4'' partner wouldn't be satisfied.
However, overall a big congratulations to everyone, chef, waiting staff & whole ambience of the restaurant & bar was tip top. Well done.

We had a wonderful experience overall, the staff were helpful and the menu was good. Excellent food, great service, in fact a little too quick between courses.

We really enjoyed our meal. Restrained but comfortable and well-proportioned surroundings and good food. The service was exemplary and we would like to congratulate the young staff on that. We found the main courses quite potato-heavy and would have preferred a greater variety in vegetables but they were very well prepared and served. The house wines were very good.

Excellent food and professional, friendly service. I appriciate that the Yarrow is relatively new so everything very clean and smart, I hope they keep this standard up. The only thing that was lacking was a general 'buzzing' atmosphere but I believe this will come as it matures and the restaurant has more customers. Sunday lunch menu is short but contains enough choice to meet, veggie, pescaterians and meat eater needs. The fish stew was superb and the hot bread rolls divine.

Nice relaxing restaurant with calm colours, very attentive staff offering great service. Was met by Harry who is a natural putting you at ease straight away. He recommended the special starter of the day a chicken and pasta dish, which really delivered, followed by a main dish of tender loin pork medallions and a dessert of dark chocolate mousse. Overall a great value lunch including a glass of wine £20.00 a head, wIll certainly be back for more. Just before leaving the restaurant we were offered a tour of the new hotel by Tom who carried out the tour very professionally and left my wife and me very impressed with the different hotel suites and spa facilities.
