With views of the Surrey Hills, The Wotton Hatch is a cosy gastro pub serving modern British cuisine interwoven with Mediterranean influence. This refurbished retreat has wooden ceilings, red walls, log fires, and a large bar with wicker barstools, offering a warm space in which to enjoy a pint or a wholesome meal.

With chefs given the opportunity to train at cookery schools in Spain and Italy, The Wotton Hatch menu features modern signature recipes made using the finest available ingredients. As well as creative daily-changing specials, favourites include king prawn, crab and chorizo linguine, or spit-roasted chicken with lemon & garlic confit. A kids’ menu and Sunday roasts also feature, and desserts include rich vanilla and chocolate gelato with home-baked cookies.

The result of a treasured partnership with Rothschild wine merchants, the cellar showcases many fine wines, while token real ales and premium spirits are found at The Wotton Hatch bar. Nostalgic British nibbles and eclectic sharing platters bursting with international flavours offer more laidback dining.

The Wotton Hatch in Surrey is a 5-minute drive from Gomshall Railway Station.

Enjoyed our lunch here although the house salad was rather mediocre. Staff seemed a little lacking in attendance when needing to pay bill. Although conversely you could say we weren't rushed ! Overall pleasant but lacked substance. Would return though as nice ambience.

Discovered the Wotton Hatch only recently, been three weekends running and yesterday came with a relative to celebrate a birthday.

Atmosphere and staff very pleasant as always, food excellent although the double cooked chips yesterday were rather overdone.

Great menu with lots of choices and varying sizes of meals. Most impressed and will be back again soon

Nice to find a high quality restaurant that allows well behaved dogs!

Excellent roast lunch and although the Yotkshire pudding were a bit flat it won't stop me from booking again. The service was also excellent lovely friendly staff.

The food was excellent, well cooked and tasty. I had the Black Pudding Cake to start and I am very glad I did, it was impressive and appetizing for the starter. I followed this by the Pork Belly and finally the chocolate brownie. These were of excellent quality as well and overall a very satisfying meal. My companions at lunch had the prawn and shrimp to start and the chicken for main, they were very pleased with their meals as well. I thought the price of the meal, with drinks and wine, was very reasonable at £120.
The only minor gripe was the starters served on the "slate" plate, a bit messy and difficult when a fried egg is involved.
