We had lunch in the conservatory which was a bit tired looking. Only one person seemed to be working at the bar and she seemed a tad stressed. We had to wait about 30 mins for our food and another couple at another table almost gave up waiting (they had their coats on just when it arrived). The portion size was good, the food quality was basic.

Not good. We went to the carvery but because we booked and sat in the restaurant area, it had to be brought to us - we couldn't go up. It was piled on too small a plate; lukewarm, reasonable meat but poor vegetables and cubes of frozen swede. The waitress meant well but had poor English and understanding, meaning several repetitions.
