This was a dining experience on another planet, excellent service without being overwhelming, the lamb Wellington was melt in the mouth, a very special occasion made even more so!

Very disappointing. Came here 15 years ago and the experience was outstanding and faultless. This time the food was dry and lacklustre to say the least, and they'd forgotten about us by the dessert course, I had to leave the table to go and get someones attention and ask where the desserts were, they turned up 30 minutes later (and were given complimentary as a result). When you pay those prices you expect something special, but I'm saddened to say we won't be going back.

A family favourite, no return trip to Edinburgh is complete without dinner at The Witchery. Service impeccable as always. The foie gras, lobster bisque and haggis starters were tasty. For mains we opted for the tender Lamb Wellington accompanied by a nice Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon.

Very disappointing! Poor food , staff who obviously didn't t converse with each other.. we were served by no less than four people , and they had no idea of our order. We were served a side dish after we had finished our mains. When we were asked if everything was "alright" the waiter became I little aggressive in his demeanour . What a pity... we were looking forward to dining there after a splendid evening at the ballet.
