An excellent meal cooked to perfection. The Fillet steak with accompanying sauce was fabulous. My wife's mackerel starter and salmon main was just right. Atmosphere great and service attentive without being overbearing.

Dinner for 3....this was my 5th visit in around 6 months. The main courses are always great, and service excellent. However, the last two visits i have noticed the deserts look amazing, but taste less than average. In my party, we had the brownie (very cold/over-chilled, not enjoyable) and the banana bread (absolutely tiny, very poor value for money at £7.50, plus it was cold).

We found the restaurant a little noisy at times which made it quite difficult to have a conversation with our friends on the same table. We wouldn't let this stop us from returning though, as the food and service was excellent.

As always, lovely ambiance, warm welcome, good menu choices.

Well - 3 of the 6 in the party were really ill after eating here yesterday. Unfortunately it was my birthday meal but spend the later evening being unwell after a tapas sharing board that was obviously not cooked or kept properly . Such a shame :-(

We were a party of four and all chose different starters and mains. These were all nicely presented and perfectly cooked (where applicable) and enjoyed by all. The portions were also generous with the exception of the passionfruit parfait. Although it was served with fruit, the actual parfait was small, and my wife had to forego her usual taster! A simpler dessert would also have been appreciated; eg lemon tart, and fewer desserts with toffee/caramel/honeycomb.
The ambience and staff were also excellent.

Atmosphere and service was great although the bar area is very close to the tables so a very loud gent at the bar took our attention. Our starters took over 25 minutes to arrive, as a larger table was being dealt with but the waiter apologised for the wait and was accommodating of the slight changes we wanted to make to our meals & drinks. Food, whilst looking lovely was really rather bland. Hummus starter didn't taste of much, our toast came with no bread or balsamic & olive oil, the guinea fowl bon bon - same; quite tasteless, fondant potato was dry. I had to ask for more jus as there was not much on the plate, was quite salty and just tasted of red wine, rather than the 'thyme jus' that was stated. It arrived promptly though. The chocolate tart came with a lovely 'happy anniversary' on the plate in chocolate but the tart was still quite frozen and just tasted of dark chocolate with no buttery base to taste or salted caramel taste. Was really looking forward to this for our anniversary and whilst I cant complain, there is not much to rave about and I'm sorry to say I wouldn't return in a hurry.
