Wonderful afternoon tea! Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Food very very nice and our waiting staff were friendly and courteous. Such a terrible shame the venue is closing in May.

We had a lovely time, lovely food, fantastic service, the lad who served us was so polite, helpful and we couldn't have asked for a better service. Cake was delicious, and would certainly go again when they re-open if it is still an option. The only criticism I would have is that the scones could have been home made. Otherwise it was a lovely afternoon with my daughter and friends.

We had a really enjoyable time the food was great and service was attentive without being overpowering. The only shame was that we found out that they are knocking the hotel down to build houses and the last day it is open is 8th May. It is a shame as such a lovely building.f

Absolutely wonderful. Lovely & cosy decor, beautiful looking pub, and delicious food. My friend & I went for the afternoon tea for 2 and it was great. We were so full afterwards! The staff were fantastic, and I really mean that. They were super friendly & helpful. However we were sad to learn that it's been sold. I don't know whether this means that the afternoon tea won't be available any more? I hope you don't stop it, I'd very happily recommend a visit, based on my experience yesterday.

    Had Champagne Afternoon Tea.
Lovely choice of sandwiched which you can top up for £2.95.
Scones with jam and clotted cream and a lovely selection of cake.
    Under £50 for two.
The setting is nice too and the staff very pleasant and attentive.
