An old world country dining pub boasting a coveted AA Rosette, The White Horse Chilgrove serves rustic and refined British cuisine. This enchanting rural hideaway features a lush al fresco area for summer dining and is part of The Good Pub Guide's Pub Group of the Year 2016.

Sourcing meats and vegetables form the South Downs wherever possible, as well as fish and game from trusted local suppliers, The White Horse menu is burst with premium natural produce. Classic mains include smoked haddock rarebit with confit tomato, sautéed new potatoes, spinach & caper cream or slow roast suckling pig with herb stuffing. Desserts include dark chocolate brownie with pistachio ice cream & tuile.

Complementing its boldly flavoured menu, The White Horse restaurant offers a host of trusty house bottles, as well as more luxurious vintages from its cherry-picked ‘Red Book’. Rich coffees, silky real ales and a littering of daily papers ensure a community-pub atmosphere prevails at The White Horse in Chilgrove.

Medieval-style fittings are offset by a gallery of mirrors and contemporary artwork at The White Horse pub. Central Chichester is a 12-minute drive away. Located in the barn, the private dining room is the epitome of low-key countryside elegance.

Lovely meal and I speak for my partner too. I really only eat organic foods but your game is second to none. Good attentive service and lovely surroundings - you are living up to your past traditions which I remember as a child - will not say when that was !
