Set just opposite the beautiful green in Pirbright, and enjoying a beer garden for al fresco dining on warm days, The White Hart – Woking is a cosy village local with low ceiling beams, deep armchairs & burning log fires. A rustic hideaway, the pub & restaurant serves an unpretentious menu of tasty modern British cuisine.

Sourcing ingredients from trusted local suppliers, The White Hart menu features wholesome recipes based around the garden, land and sea. Sample hand-pressed burgers, beef & ale pie with cardamom carrots, or sea bass with potato gnocchi, while old-school puddings include warming crumbles, custard-lathered sponges and decadent brownies. Not forgetting younger diners, a kids’ menu includes miniature versions of British classics.

A partnership with the celebrated Rothschild wine merchants means The White Hart - Woking cellar is stocked full with an eclectic list of world wines, while indulgent wine flights allow guests to sample a variety of bins. Seasonal beers and barrel-kept ales also feature, as well as thirst-quenching cocktails and rich coffees.

Nice old world ambience with a respectful clientele so no irritating noise. Just happy, low key banter.
We were there on a Sunday and the choice of lunch was the complete package for a Sunday at sensible prices plus an a la carte if you so wished.
The food was beautifully cooked and presented; the American waiter was unobtrusive but attentive and very able.
Just a very pleasant experience all round. We’ll definitely go again, probably in the evening next time.

Beautiful country pub. The food was excellent, great choice of wines, cocktails & beers. Service was a little hit & miss at times, but it was a busy Saturday evening. A little pricey for pub food, but overall definitely worth a visit. Looking forward to going back.

Very nice environment and the food was good. All dishes well prepared and presented. The fishcakes were particularly good though rather on the small side for a main course. The crumble was excellent. The first three drinks we ordered they had run out of including a popular draft beer, and the first main course they had also run out of.This suggests the manager is not on top of the ordering and somewhat irritating from a customer perspective. They were very good at helping with glutten free choices and being flexible with the menu to accomodate.

Service was friendly but the food was disappointing, especially the burger.

The scallops were delicious and the service good, however, having asked for a quiet corner, we were blasted with awful music throughout, despite asking for it to be turned down due to speaker, in particular, being close by and couldn't be adjusted despite us trying in desperation!! A shame as everything else was lovely.

Friendly atmosphere and good menu choices.
My fish cakes were very tasty.
Good value although wines were on the expensive side.
