Went for afternoon tea to celebrate a friend's daughter's and my birthdays. The only booking we could get had a special offer to add a celebratory cake - I added notes to the effect that we were celebrating birthdays. When we arrived at 2.30 they were finishing lunch and although we were seated fairly quickly it took more than 15 minutes before we could get anyone to take our order and nearly 30 minutes before we got any tea. The food was nice enough but one annoying thing is that they take the stand away well before you have finished - removing any remaining scones/cakes and placing them on the table. Half the fun of afternoon tea is the cakes sitting on the stand. I can only conclude that they don't have enough stands which seems a bit penny pinching.

So generally a lovely area to have afternoon tea but a somewhat disappointing experience. On previous birthdays they have made more of a fuss of my friends daughter, singing Happy Birthday etc. We weren't offered our additional celebratory cake (which I believe was a slice that I saw someone else receive) but as we were full we didn't bother asking for it.

Have had really nice lunches here but don't think I would book afternoon tea again.

My wife and I were unaware of breakfast at the Wallace until told about it by a friend. We were looking for somewhere different to take
cousins who were visiting from San Francisco. This was different and we were all delighted and impressed with the venue as a
breakfast experience. We would certainly visit again. However, we found from the website your several other unique places where
one can also have breakfast, lunch and dinner and our appetite has been whetted to try each one. For myself, I had hoped for a
full English and although I did miss that, there was a very varied menu and I was not disappointed. Our cousins enjoyed the
