The whole experience was excellent. The scones, the freshest I have ever had. The visit to the collection, very enjoyable and interesting.

We had hors d'oeuvre of crab another fish and cucumber, and roasted sweet potatoes. The hors d'oeuvre could have had a bit more fish and a little less cucumber but it was very tasty. The roasted sweet potatoes were excellent. Service very good , staff polite and friendly.

The food was excellent and service thoughtful especially as the staff entered into the spirit by bringing my mother birthday cake.

The Wallace is a lovely venue and the food is good. In the past I had been a regular visitor but tmy experience was that service was very slow such that I had stopped going. This time we visited for afternoon tea and I am happy to report that the speed of service has improved. However -£42 for 2 (including tip which is added in for you) seems expensive to me for tea, a sandwich and a scone (and 3 small cakes that we couldn't eat because we were full).

Relaxed atmosphere and despite being a large open restaurant it was easy to talk and hear people. Staff attentive

An amazing building hidden in the heart of London. A lovely selection of teas and cakes for a festive afternoon tea.

As we live quite far away from each other, my two friends and I meet roughly once a month for a meal and a catch up, more often than not an afternoon tea, in various locations in Central London. We met for our pre-Christmas gift exchange yesterday (10/12/2016) and we found The Wallace to be one of our favourites thus far. What a beautiful venue! One of those places where you step in the front door and just stop and gawp! Sadly we didn't leave enough time to actually look around The Wallace Collection itself, but we will definitely be back much earlier to have a proper nosy (and another afternoon tea!) in the new year. We all had the Festive Tea (£18.50) and found the selection to be very broad and appealing. The turkey and cranberry finger sandwiches, in particular, were perfection. The scones were large, light and delicious, but, since it was one each, it would have been nice to have been asked which we wanted as we were given 2 fruit scones and one plain, we all would have actually preferred the plain. We didn't even think of asking our waiter at the time though as it wasn't a big deal, it was still very nice, but it's just a tiny note of constructive criticism. The sweets were wonderful and inventive twists on well known favourites. Our waiter was reasonably accommodating throughout even though it was a busy Saturday afternoon. Service was to be found when we needed it, but we were otherwise left to our own devices, which suited us just fine as we lost track of time having a lovely afternoon in a beautiful environment on large and comfortable chairs under a conservatory roof. Be warned, noise carries under this! We did notice a fair burst of conversational noises when we first walked in, but oddly we couldn't actually make out other people's conversations so you're left with a bit of a surreal sense of volume. At one point I let out a burst of laughter that amplified my chuckle into an eerie witch's cackle!
