Staff were excellent, let us come early and couldn't have been more attentive. Delightful service. Food fine, a bit cold but otherwise ok.

In a unique and beautiful location, The Trent Lock sits at the crux of 3 counties and 2 rivers, on the Trent Lock river junction. Serving an accomplished menu of well-loved British food, the views from the pretty al fresco garden are spectacular. Interiorly, the pub has rustic furnishings, with exposed oaken beams, a grand hearth and British art.

Hearty Sunday roasts and trusty British dishes head The Trent Lock menu, and a range just for kids offers mini versions of pub favourites. Signature Vintage pies offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while The Trent Lock ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.

Paying homage to the Great British pub, the Vintage Inn bar stock includes cask-conditioned beers, real ales and a meticulously compiled wine list. Thirst-quenching offerings include seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails and freshly-pressed juices, and rich coffee is brewed freshly throughout the day.

With its highly distinctive and eye-catching situation, The Trent Lock Sawley is only a 15-minute walk from Long Eaton Train Station, on the edge of Nottinghamshire.

Great pub/restaurant. Old oak beams pleasant surroundings. Food good, very busy when we went but still good service. Enjoyable.

Very disappointed, I had the sharing plater with mushrooms and prawns and pate , which i have had on several occasions before . The mushrooms and prawns were lovely however the pate tasted funny as if it was on the turn, I told the waitress that I thought the pate had gone off to which she apologised and took the plate away and then just return 20 mins later with the bill ! No new pate and no reduction on the bill ....in fact no acknowledgement at all . Not impressed at all

The choice of food for each course was excellent, and even though it was Mothers Day, all of our first choices were available. The ffod was excellent, with generous but not excesive portions. The waitresss was friendly and efficient, and was patient with my elderly mother. If I wanted to really nitpick I could say that my Hendricks gin was served with lemon not cucumber, but it's all I can criticise.

Good food. But we were rushed to vacate a table that I had booked. Apologies from staff for doing so still made me feel not valued. Only had 1 course & forced to drink coffee in bar not good enough.

Excellent service. Good food at a reasonable price. We went midday on a Saturday in February - busy enough to have some ambience but not overcrowded. Will definately go again.

We had a very pleasant meal at the Trent lock. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. My farther and I had stakes and both were cooked to perfection. A lovely range of drinks both for us real ale drinkers and soft drinks for the driver.

We had a great meal with our parents on a busy Saturday night. Although busy the server Yvette was very attentive and excellent at her job. There was a steak meal special which was very good value for money and both rib eyed steaks were cooked just as we requested. We will be back.
