Came to eat at the restaurant with my family to remember my mother-in-law who enjoyed coming to Travellers Rest before her death 4 years ago.
Food was good and we enjoyed the atmosphere. Will come again.

Since 1851, The Travellers Rest near Dunstable has been offering well-loved British refreshments to its guests, and it continues to do so in a stunning rural location, close to the River Ouzel. With classic whitewashed walls, exposed beams and brickwork, and rustic decorations, The Travellers Rest is a pastoral haven, with seating by the cosy fireplace and in the pretty beer garden.

Hearty Sunday roasts and trusty British dishes head The Travellers Rest menu, and a range just for kids offers mini versions of pub favourites. Signature Vintage pies offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while The Travellers Rest ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.

Paying homage to the Great British pub, the Vintage Inn bar stock includes cask-conditioned beers, real ales and a meticulously compiled wine list. Thirst-quenching offerings at this Edlesborough venue include seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails and freshly-pressed juices, and rich coffee is brewed freshly throughout the day.

While in a remote and tranquil destination, The Travellers Rest is just 7 minutes’ driving to Dunstable.

We came to eat at The Travellers Rest after ordering my daughters wedding dress as a little celebration for the girls. We found it to be a really lovely restaurant with a good selection of mains to suit everyone. We had a very nice visit and when we (bride, mother and two bridesmaids) return to Dunstable we shall definitely eat there again. Two of the girls had Pizzas and I had the rump steak, my other daughter had the roast chicken. All were delicious and there were no complaints from anyone.

Lovely restaurant and bar staff. Been here many times. Was busy but service could not have been better.
Asked for a quiet table and that was exact what we got
    Would recommend to anyone

Excellent food and service. Loved the cosy Christmasy feel, on a dull Sunday
    lunchtime

Excellent reception to the well appointed table. Drinks were served while we perused the menu. Scallops for starters followed by the fish. Excellent in every respect! Atmosphere at the TR was enhanced by the quiet chatter of other customers. We enjoyed our family gathering very much. We shall come again!

I was visiting family as I used to live in the area, the food was tepid to cold, for a Sunday lunch the best piece was the plate presentation, the beef was chewy, my wife's was over cooked. all in all a poor experience. the room was cold, the management admitted the fires and heating were lit too late. basic mistakes considering a food chain restaurant.
