Excellent, just perfect! Lovely staff and one of the best afternoon teas i've had, plus lovely decor and a 3 hour slot so really had chance to take our time and enjoy! Would recommend and return when next in Edinburgh.

Lovely experience from the moment we entered the restaurant. Went as a couple for my girlfriends 30th. Food was lovely and a very good selection for vegetarian/vegans. Service was really good although not checked back on when given dishes. There was plenty staff around and always busy so could have grabbed someone if we needed anything else. Staff were all very friendly, food tasted amazing and presentation was great. The pea velute and sea bass where amazing. Smoked applewood risotto was really nice but slightly too salty. Will certainly be back

Unfortunately we had a poor experience. The canned music although turned off after two requests was done so reluctantly. It was just above our heads. My husband's starter (rillettes) and main (chicken with couscous) was dry. Our friends enjoyed their first two courses although I felt my 2nd starter was fairly tasteless (rabbit terrine). After a half an hour wait we asked for our main course. We were told we had to wait for other tables to be served before us and therefore we had to cancel the dessert course as we had to leave for the theatre. Our booking was for 12.30. We left at 2pm.

Enjoyable experience, comfy seats and great view of the city. Food was good and nice menu. Rather slow service and food not as hot as I would have liked.
    Pleasant staff.

I was disappointed with the menu selection and felt the main dish should be served with seasonal vegetables instead of paying extra.
I had the sea bass which although cooked properly was quite bland.

Everything was really good. Risotto was full of flavours with right texture and smoothness. Sea bass filet cooked to perfection.
