Very disappointed , not a very comfortable restaurant with the tables on top of each other.
Asked for the haggis starter to be served as a main course , waitress said this was not possible , asked why and she couldn't answer , told her to speak with the chef , alas it was possible ! Main course of half lobster Thermidor of which was not Thermidor sauce but bearnaise with strong taste of vinager and tarragon , the manager argued the fact this was definitely Thermidor sauce , we had to agree to disagree with me scraping off the sauce to eat the lobster .
Dessert was delicious a wonderful peanut putter parfait .

Excellent meal and service. Slate decorated with "Happy Birthday" and treats made it extra special. Thank you.

It was fantastic. We did ask for a nice table as it was my fiancée birthday and we had an amazing spot facing the castle. They have also brought a small treat saying happy birthday at the end. It was fantastic. Everyone was very polite and amazing. What an experience! Totally recommend it!

My husband was going to book "The Witchery" as we have been several times before and always enjoyed the experience but I saw this offer for "The Tower Restaurant" and thought it would be nice for a change...and it was fabulous! We were warmly greeted when we arrived and placed at a window table, which had a beautiful view of the castle. So far so good! It is very different to the Witchery - more chilled and contemporary but the standard of service was as high. We were brought a dish of olives and wonderful bread - which my husband devoured and was graciously offered more ( he accepted...naturally) Our glass of Champagne arrived and we sat back, relaxed and enjoyed the ambience of our surroundings.
The food was exquisite - especially the "Beef Bourguignon". Wow!
The restaurant was quite busy so there was a nice atmosphere, and all the staff were very attentive -professional but friendly at the same time. We will most definitely visit again.

Food was over priced and over cooked.
£40 for a steak that was supposed to be medium and came well done.
Shell in crab and prawn starter.
Would normally have had at least another bottle of wine and desert, decided to leave right after the main and go elsewhere.
