A very superior village pub. Great trouble has been taken to renovate this old pub and to create a top class restaurant. A humming atmosphere and excellent service.

A charming and rustic coaching inn built in the mid-18th century, The Three Daggers is a sophisticated pub-restaurant in Wiltshire. Refined gastro pub cuisine is bolstered by an impressive drinks stock, which includes ales from the pub’s very own microbrewery in the neighbouring Edington Farm Shop.

The Three Daggers menu offers sophisticated flavour combinations, like roasted cod with blackened spices, chorizo and white bean cassoulet, and chicken ‘2 ways’ with spring onion and ginger chicken ballotine, sticky wings, fondant potato and sprouting broccoli. An 8oz Hereford sirloin is among dishes made with local farm produce, which also include a daily-changing pie of the day.

French and New World wines feature at The Three Daggers restaurant in Westbury, alongside the pub’s eponymous cask ales. With rustic exposed brickwork, chunky candlelit wooden tables and a peppering of French windows, The Three Daggers evokes a warm, country ambience.

In the idyllic village of Edington, The Three Daggers is a 9-minute drive from the centre of Westbury.

The first snag happened when we arrived. There was a wedding party which made it difficult to park. Waiting for a space took 10 minutes which wasn't the best start.
Our table was lovely however people from the wedding party were constantly trekking through even when the staff told them not to (it was not necessary as they had all amenities outside). In addition to this the disco music from the marquee was audible above the music playing in the dining area.
Our meals were a mixed bag, the fish pie was good and the burgers okay however the pork belly was inedible due to over seasoning with salt with the potato having too much parsley and salt and the rabbit ragu had 2 large bones.
The rabbit and pork dishes were hardly eaten and we notified our waitress who apologised and advised us that we should have called her. As she hadn't come to check whether our meals were okay and wasn't around until we had finished it would have been difficult.
Even though 2 dishes were hardly touched no discount was given.
In addition to the poor meals we also felt that we should have been notified that the wedding would cause disruption and loss of ambience.
After spending £199 we will not be returning.
Such a shame as the pub is lovely.

Excellent service and good menu choice for lunch. We both ordered the Ploughmans for our main and extra chips - which we certainly did not need, as excellent portion sizes!. Only downside was the parking, we lunched on the Friday but a wedding was taking place on the Saturday and the marquee was on the inn's main car park.
