The Tea Lounge at St Ermins is a timelessly chic setting for luxury afternoon teas. An eclectic range of teas is on offer including classic, children’s and gluten-free options.

The St Ermin’s afternoon tea includes a range of teas alongside sweet and savoury delicacies. Amongst the luxurious sandwiches are smoked salmon and caviar, salt beef and horseradish, and cucumber and cream cheese. Follow this with a choice of freshly baked scones including triple chocolate and gingerbread, all topped off by delectable treats such as chocolate tiffin, peanut butter macaron, and orange posset.

St Ermin’s hotel in London is a fittingly elegant and extravagant location for such indulgence. With ornately textured ceilings, plush seating and traditional wooden furnishings, the Tea Lounge exudes sophistication.

Entered through a tree-lined courtyard, St Ermin’s in Westminster is a 2-minute walk from St James’s Park Tube Station, and a tranquil hideaway a short walk from many major landmarks.

Afternoon tea at St. Ermin's is a delightful experience in a lovely ambiance! We chose it because it is child friendly and serves a special "Busy Bees" afternoon tea for small children. (There is also a Busy Bees adventure experience on the 3rd floor, which the children greatly enjoyed.) Our 4 and 2-year-olds absolutely loved it! Service is also very friendly and attentive. We were a party of 8( 6 adults as well as the 2 children) and the Winter Wonderland tea was excellent. I would criticise only one thing, that the sweet offerings far exceeded the savoury in quantity and that there were hardly any sandwiches. This did not detract from a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon, though! Birthday celebrations are well catered for!

The selection of flavours was excellent for a festive afternoon tea without being typical.

An excellent way to celebrate my daughter's birthday. Highlights were the scones and the unlimited champagne although everything was delicious except for the mulled wine mousse(?) which we all agreed was a little non descript. We also thought that there could be a better balance between sweet and savoury.

Lovely afternoon at St Ermins. Small intimate Tea Lounge. Service was excellent. Delicious savouries and sandwiches, delicate pastries and light scones. Kids Buzzy Bee Tea was good too. You can visit Bee Terrace and see the hives through the glass although we couldn't see much as cold, grey and wet afternoon. Will certainly return.

We LOVED this hotel. We chose to sit on the more secluded high back chairs in the hallway and it was perfect for a little privacy without feeling unsociable. The staff were very helpful and made us feel very welcome! They asked us if there were any cakes or sandwiches we would like more of. This was towards the end of the afternoon and may have been because they had some left - either way it made us feel special. The previous reviews about the lack of sandwiches are correct. The sandwich quarters come up very very small, and whilst the staff were happy to bring us more when we asked there was clearly a limit because they needed them for other bookings. We had the winter wonderland menu which tasted as odd as the menu suggests but it was good fun trying everything, and a great conversational piece. I won't return because there are so many other teas to try but I'd recommend this experience!

The hotel was clean and well presented. The staff were friendly and polite. The decoraton in the tea room was elegant and traditional making the whole experience so special.
The food is lovely the cakes, mosses and scones. The only suggestion would be one less cake and another sandwich.

This really is one of the most beautiful hotels and the setting is simply perfect for a lovely afternoon tea. The Christmas touches around the hotel were stunning and it add a touch of "magical" to the whole experience. Our waitress was really lovely and attentive and took the time to explain what each of the delicacies were on our stand. The scones were delicious (you could smell them in their basket they were fresh and beautifully warm) and the sweet selection was second to none. Only negative I would say is there wasn't a lot of savoury items on the stand; what was there was delicious but a couple of additional items would have balanced selection bit better. I would have liked to have been able to have had a coffee but it was only a selection of teas on offer (albeit a great selection of teas...) and not being able to have a coffee didn't affect the experience. I highly recommend St Ermins for a quiet afternoon away from the hustle and bustle or for a celebratory event - I couldn't think of anywhere nicer...
