Most disappointing meal I've had in South Africa. Read my trip adviser rating was poor title " Far too clever for her own good"

A super dining experience. Every course was a taste adventure. The presentation was immaculate. Every waiter could answer any question we had about the wine and the food. The attention to detail was amazing.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at LQF. I was highly impressed that all my dietary requirements were met. The manager Morne & our waiter/s were incredibly polite & helpful. My favorite dish was the beetroot soup. I did not enjoy all of the wines served & felt not all of them went well with the dishes served. I also felt that the dinner was slightly rushed. The lighting & set up of the venue was really great.

I was very unimpressed with the food at The Tasting Room. Don't get me wrong, it was a good meal. It just wasn't a Top 100 in the world good. The dishes were all plated and presented beautifully, the portions were a good size, and there were some really unique combinations and dishes. At the end of the day though, you want your food to taste good, and the tastes here were just ok. They were very safe, nothing was truly excellent. We had the tasting menu, and to be honest, I don't really even remember what we ate. Very lack luster and I've heard the same from multiple other people.

Had an amazing evening when myself and six others dined here on 11th of October while on holiday, the booking was originally for three people but the manager kindly added four extra people at short notice, we all had an amazing 8 coarse meal with wine paring. It was a lovely relaxed atmosphere and the staff were great at explaining the menu. Every coarse tasted and looked gorgeous, really don't have anything negative to say about it. From start to finish it was an amazing experience. Loved loved loved it

We had a very enjoyable evening dining with you recently. Nothing could be faulted at all and the food was superb.

Disappointed overall. Start was promising. But gradually the level declined. Desert strange and out of balance. As if no inspiration left?
In terms of price quality: you can get so much better around Franschhoek.
    Wine perfect.
The dining room itself: as the food, needs inspiration. Time stood still.
Pity, i really was looking forward.

We anticipated this restaurant but we were very dissapointed
The food wasn't tasty at all and even tasted bad. Each dish was more horrible than the other and we enjoy food experience a lot but unfortunately in this case the presentation was much more important than the taste and it was lacking balance

Pauline and the other staff were magnificent - she explained the dishes with great care and attention to detail for novices like ourselves. It was such a treat to be taken on a culinary journey. The creations were almost too beautiful to eat, yet we did and each mouthful was an experience. The wine pairing was exquisite. Thank you for making my husband's birthday one to remember.
