We had the Sunday lunch which was very good, lovely food and nice & hot. The Tally Ho has a very nice garden & plenty of car parking. The staff are friendly & attentive. Overall a lovely day.

Overall disappointed, started well, added 2 people without a problem, food lovely, but the service poor, waited a long time to be served and forgot one of the desserts!

Went to the Tally Ho for lunch on Good Friday. Booked a table for 4 at 2pm and seemed to have arrived after an extremely busy lunchtime judging by the aftermath of empty tables piled up with empty glasses and plates - so thought it strange when we were warned there was a 1hr waiting time for food. We'd booked so decided to stay but wish we hadn't... lots of disgruntled diners, food came after a 90 minute wait. One of us ordered the steak which was over-cooked - was promised a replacement in a few mins but it took 20 mins for a medium-rare steak to arrive, by which time 3 of us had finished eating. No real apologies or explanations given. No token gestures offered. Dessert on the house or free drinks whilst waiting would have smoothed a few ruffled feathers and ensured our return. Food was good but service appalling... plus got a dent on my car door in the tight car park. Won't be returning.

Service very slow and poor. Food average. By the time the fat and grissle was cut off there wasn't much left.

Six of us dined for a get together and unanimously agreed that the venue and food were excellent.
We have decided that we will keep to a regular get together and almost certainly it will be at the Tally Ho
