Thought to pre-date 1818, The Talbot boasts a stunning country location, near to Biddulph Grange Country Park and to a series of pretty bubbling streams and ponds. Offering well-loved British pub cuisine, you can enjoy this and the views from by the cosy hearth-fire or the beer garden. The eye-catching building is composed of gorgeous red-stone, housing other rustic characteristics like brick fireplaces and oaken beams.
Hearty Sunday roasts and trusty British dishes head The Talbot menu, and a range just for kids offers mini versions of pub favourites. Signature Vintage pies offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while The Talbot ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.
Paying homage to the Great British pub, the Vintage Inn bar stock includes cask-conditioned beers, real ales and a meticulously compiled wine list. Thirst-quenching offerings include seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails and freshly-pressed juices, and rich coffee is brewed freshly throughout the day.
Nestled in the remote Staffordshire countryside, The Talbot is just 24 minutes’ driving to Stoke-on-Trent.

We went as a party of 8 to celebrate 2 birthdays. Someone from the Talbot contacted me to let me know that they had a quiz night, giving me the opportunity to sit in the quiz area (which we did) or in a quiet dining area. We had a great night, quiz was fun, food was lovely and staff were friendly.

Really enjoyable. Rump steak and slow roasted ham hock were delicious and good value for money even though we had 25% knocked of the final bill we would have quite happily paid full price. Very nice ambience and staff very friendly. Only critism drinks are a bit pricey.

Very cosy atmosphere. The service was adequate, and the menu competitive, although some choices were not available. The food was generally average apart from the risotto which was too sloppy. Two of us had dessert and they were good, ( apple pie and carrot cheese cake). The staff were pleasant and helpful.
